Free Republic is and always will be an Anti-Romney forum.

“People here don’t trust Romney, understood. But there is not a word of the speech Romney just gave which conservatives would disagree with.”

Well, which side of his mouth is he talking out of today?

He flip flops around so much, frankly I don’t believe him.

Did you know that what defines a politicians positions is what they do and not what they say?

If the tea party in Florida truly went for Mitt, than this will probably happen all across the country ? Sad.

Do you have a TEA Party registration card? I don't. There are no TEA party card carriers. The TEA Party is being dragged into this by the media and GOP-e because they KNOW none of it can be validated, killing two birds with one stone.

Anyone claiming "Republican" after last week and what is currently being foisted on us can immediately be marked down as "genuine stupid party member". The GOP and DNC are in a race for socialsim. The GOP keeps making left hand turns, the DNC is cashing in marketing the whole race.

According to reports posted on FR, there are no 50 delegates in Florida, but only 25, as the punishment for advancing their primary up to January. There is even talk of proportioning these delegates, as opposed to winner take all. Apparently, all this will be contested, with the outcome not decided until right before the convention.

Sounds as if all this is muddy water in Florida.

Sorry but the only way our GOP masters will ever take us serious is if we let one of the “moderate”leftists they give us take a double digit arsewhupping in the General Election.
I didn’t take a stand with McCain because I could at least respect his service sacrifices. With Romney I see nothing to respect and a helluva lot to disrespect. I won’t compromise this time my vote is exactly that, my vote.

It was 100, reduced to 50. There’s nothing stopping the powers that be from increasing it back to 100 at any time though.

No, the winner gets 50. The original count was 99 but it was cut to 50 as punishment for moving the date up.

I guess there is nothing he can say that will win over the hard-core Mitt haters. Fine, there are always going to be some for any issue/candidate, whatever. I just hope after some cooling off most here won’t stay home in November. We’ll need all the votes.

And I’ve been disappointed for a LONG time—I was a Pawlenty supporter!

Ann Romney out with the four sons, one gone ...not a one who has ever served in the military.

The lack of Military involvement with the elites disturbs me too. Of the presidential candidates, I think Huntsman, with his two sons at USNA, was the only candidate with "skin in the game".

And of course Perry was an active duty USAF veteran. Paul was either active duty or reserves USAF, as a physician.

On the Rat side, neither Obama nor Biden served, though I think Biden son(s) may have.

You mean we should repeal Obamacare and adopt Romneycare in 50 states? Romney can talk about “free market” this, and “liberty” that but everyone knows he’s a statist. Pure and simple.

I think a lot of the “I will never vote for ...” talk is emotional.

For one thing, Romney hasn’t secured the nomination.

For another, we have to get rid of Obama.

Romney might be a passive, do nothing good president but he could not in any way, shape or form be as bad as Obama.

I will vote for the Republican nominee.

I agree entirely with your mistrust of Romney, that is his problem. I have supported all the conservatives but whoever gets that nomination (and it isn’t Romney yet) is getting my vote. Obama must go.
