I know not every Catholic voted Obama but didn’t the majority do this to themselves with supporting him?

Well, I think it's safe to say that the Catholics here at FR didn't vote for Obama.

And guess what, the Catholics who DID vote for Obama ain't gonna see your post, or any of the bazillion other posts about "all those Catholics who voted for Democrats."

Giving someone a choice between paying a fine or following their religion "isn't a Constitutional issue" ???

Nobody compels a Catholic organization to offer health insurance, health services/hospitals...nor compels Catholics to work in any environment they don't want to work in.

I agree but then there are cases in which doctor’s proscribe “birth control” pills not as a contraceptive but in order to regulate irregular menstrual periods, sometimes as an aid to facilitate conception (which was done in my case) and sometimes to alleviate the very painful and debilitating effects of endometriosis.

Does the Catholic church and their insurance companies make any exceptions in cases of medical necessity? Just asking.

My understanding is that the HHS regs were authorized by the Obamacare law. Since it’s an unfunded mandate, they don’t have to wait for the first Fiscal Year of the law in order to issue their new mandatory regs.

Last month Sebelius said she’d give the Catholic insttutions 8 months to figure out how they’re going to vilate their consciences. If they drop the employees’ insurance, they’ll pay huge fines by August.

Coercion with a capital C.
