My take on the Florida Primary:
First there was South Carolina where the Conservative base rallied to push Newt Gingrich over the top instead of Mitt Romney, the GOP establishment RINO darling. The establishment went into meltdown mode after South Carolina. Now Floridas winner-take-all primary has become the latest firewall in the Tea Partys and grassroots Conservatives fight to stop Romney from a pre-ordained coronation by elite party insiders.

I find it odd that we’re not hearing anything yet. They’re either hiding what’s going on or they’re too busy manufacturing votes to push Mitt over the top.

Yeah, news is written by someone named “LizaBDesired”.
Sure it is.
Don’t you have a Dullard blog to pimp?

I find it odd that were not hearing anything yet.I thought that there was some law that didn't allow the exit polling numbers be reported yet but it wouldn't surprise me (given the depth of desperation of Mittens and his supporters) to see some sort of "cooking" of the votes happening. I'd like to think that that is not happening though.

Why aren't they promenading mittens around as the winner yet? I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but it does seem a tad bit strange.

Well, I know its maddening but the Secretary of the State of Florida will not release anything until all the polls have closed. Florida is one of seven states (last time I checked) that straddles two time zones. Miami, Orlando, etc are Eastern time zone and just west of Tallahassee is Central time zone... Panama City, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola. The Panhandle is predominately Conservative Republicans. So if Romney doesn't have a substantial lead by 7:45 Eastern time, he'll lose everything in the Panhandle. Just ask Al Gore what the Florida Panhandle did to him.

Thanks Traveler59.
I thought there was a valid reason why there wasn't any news getting out yet.
I just wish there was an insider there that could come HERE and post some news, either good or bad.

Heh! One of the funniest comments I’ve read all day.

You may be right. This is Florida, after all.

If Romney wins by only a few percentage points it’s not good for him.

Florida Freeper Tea Party Report : Tuesday at 5:15 PM-EST
We are absolutely "fired-up" !!!
The Newt phone banks have been well-staffed; the rallies have been incredible...
Yesterday Romney held a "rally" in Dunedin, FL (located between Clearwater and Tarpon Springs) ... in Pioneer Park ...
Ever been to Dunedin's Pioneer Park (just next to the Ocean Optics building on the town square) ?
It's huge ... and was filled with Romney supporters and press ... (drum roll, please ...)
Yeah ... Pioneer Park could fit inside most McDonald's parking lots ... very quaint, very small ... LOL ...
By contrast, Newt's rallies are enthusiastic and well-attended ...
I've been listening to the radio ... except for a personal boycott against WFLAs Todd Schnitt ...
Not a word about voting results ... the media's quiet as a church mouse living under sharia law ...
Very peculiar ... to say the least ...
The MSM loves to do the "exit poll" interviews ... except today ...
Well, as they say ... "Film at Eleven" ...
One last thing ... I'm just "completely amazed" that yesterday ... at Newt's Tampa (Jet Center) rally ... I got the signatures of Calista, Newt and Mike Reagan ... in a copy of my Federalist Papers (Brittannica's Great Books of the Western World series) ...
Mike Reagan appears to be a remarkable "genuine" guy ... Calista (who've I met twice at Rallies) is a class act ... I told her that she'll make a great First Lady ...
And then there's Newt ... or as I prefer to say, "President Newt Gingrich" ...
We were all having a great time as Newt spoke at the Tampa Rally yesterday ... I was standing right in front of Newt's podium, about 12 feet away, with a couple of folks in front of me ...
Everyone was cheering and laughing (especially with Herman Cain) ... and then something happened to my perspective ...
A quiet calm descended upon me ... as the folks around were enjoying Newt's speech ...
A speech about IDEAS ... not "empty political Romney-McCain platitudes" ...
1) Newt VOWING that Sharia Law would be BANNED from America's Courts
2) Taking about REAL "energy independence" ...
... and I found myself ... as if in a dream, that could have been in London in 1941 with Churchill's roaring defiance of the oncoming Nazi hordes, or Ronald Reagan telling Gorbachov in West Berlin ... "Tear Down That Wall" ...
Newt Gingrich had the same facial expressions that you see on Admiral Spruances face during the Battle of Midway ... or those famous portraits of American Patriots battling the British Army at Bunker Hill and Saratoga ...
... the same "heroic glory" that you see in the actor Fess Parker's face (Davy Crockett) in the "original" Battle of the Alamo ...
I was genuinely humbled ... I had been blessed by The Lord ...
to stand where "genuine" History was being made ...
just like Ronald Reagan's words about a "Rendezvous With Destiny" ...
American Patriots of 2012 ... today in Florida, and across America .... from sea to shining sea .... we stand at the Crossroads of Destiny ...
We have ALEADY won today's "political battle" ... regardless of how the final Florida votes are tallied tonight ...
Why ?
Because as in "Lord of the Rings" ... the call to battle and Honor and Glory have (indeed) been answered ... from Patriots across this great land we call "America" ...
A gallant Call to Arms ... to Liberty, to preserve the Land that John Paul Jones defended as he cried-out "We Have Not Yet Begun to Fight" ...
Henry V ... in his St. Crispin's day Speech ... stood on the same kind of earth we see today ...
To the Ann Coulters, and her traitorous breed ... the Nikki Haleys, Mark Steyns, Bob Doles, Chris Christies ....
We "American Patriots" respond with:
"The (Traitor's) passport shall be made, and crowns for convoy put into their purse ...
"We would not die in their company whose fellowship they fear to die with us" ...
Let's us resolve ... this day ... to WIN the BATTLE for America's Renaissance of Liberty, Prosperity ... and Discovery to the Stars created by The Almighty ...
God Bless America !

I live in the Panhandle of Florida. There are six major military installations between Panama City and Pensacola; Pensacola Naval Air Station, Hurlburt Field (USAF), Eglin AFB, Tyndall AFB, US Coast Guard Station - Panama City, and Naval Support Activity - Panama City. High levels of training, education, engineering and evaluations going on here. There are no dummies in the lot (although we do take an occasional pot-shot at each other for fun). Hence the reason I believe there are more Conservative Republicans up here than in any other 5 counties in Florida. Now, the father south you go the more liberal the landscape. That's were the Northeastern Liberal Democrats moved to when they retired and brought their Liberal Democratic mentality to. Think Alan Grayson and Debbie Whatshername-Stupid. Some of that may be changing however as evidenced by the elections of Congressman Alan West and Senator Marco Rubio.

The establishment is made up of elites from both parties. The GOP doesn’t want the tea party vote. They want obama to win and they’ll blame the tea party for not supporting Romney.
