Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Posted on 01/31/2012 8:05:07 PM PST by TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-republican-primary-schedule/

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

I think you are confused about the difference between being ‘anti-christian’ and ‘un christian.’

Well I don’t know about the pro gay stuff. But Mitt believes in freedom, a strong military, making america a place capital flows to instead of away from, said he’ll repeal obamacare, is pro life (now) etc.

Obama is a communist. Duh.

Congratulations and God Bless you on being 90!!

Here is what the GOP is missing about Newt: there are lots of people, almost my entire universe, who, until 6 months ago, had never heard of Newt - that means never heard of all that 1994 stuff - the good and the bad. Those people are getting their first introduction, or second or third, through the Romney hit ads.. but the effect of those ads can be undone... young people don’t sees him as erratic or undisciplined ... I guess when you consider how erratic and undisciplined young people can be, Newt looks pretty staid... he is like the grandfather you go to get money from when your parents say no... or your favorite history professor, kinda rumpled and ethereal...

And the non political people aren’t that up on him or any politician, that’s who we go for...

"Pro-life (now)"? Son, you're kidding yourself. The guy will say anything to attract the credulous, and that would be you. Now let me see - he's pro-2nd Amendment (now), right? After supporting a semiauto ban last election and voting in favor of the Brady Campaign before that? No, I got it - he's going to eliminate 0bamacare (now), right? After promoting his own version for years?

Yeah, he's a real conservative icon. Go sell that crap somewhere else.

Also the last straw was when his campaign manager said, “Repeal of obamacare is not going to happen.” Then mitt said that he would mandate all the states to launch their own romneycare to mandate everyone to be covered. How the heck is that any different from obama care. This election to me has always been about stopping obamacare. It will destroy our country totally.

actually a lot of people reacted positively to Newt taking on Romney’s ugly business dealings, and then were more open to listening to him otherwise... I mean some dems, also... so don’t know what’s up with that..

They heard the truth from you. Perhaps, the never listened to the debates or didn't understand what was going on and just listened to the media for how they should think.

I probably converted 300 people over to Newt in Florida leading up to today.

Excellent job!!! You have the truth in you and I believe they saw it so they were open to receive what you said. They somehow knew what they already heard was not truth and probably uncomfortable with it.

No--I am not anti-Morman--or even Mormon! But I AM anti-Democrat lite, which is Romney.

And the fact that all those "establishment" Republicans are in such a tizzy over the possibility of Newt being the nominee tells me he's the best one to kick the "feeding trough" right out from under them, and remind them that the money they so freely spend, mostly to buy votes, does not belong to "the government". It belongs to the people who work and are--truly--Taxed Enough Already!

“They did not do the redistricting correctly and now it is stuck in the courts.”

Not exactly. The Democrat Plaintiffs along with two Federal Judges hijacked the redistricting process from the people, but they could not even complete the hijacking correctly, according to the United States Supreme Court decision that just came down!

Yes, when the Feds seize control of a state’s elections with the intention of achieving their own desired result of electing liberals, it gets complicated, especially when you have a State Attorney General who fights back and shows the Progressive Rat Judges up in front of the United States Supreme Court for the idiots they are.

“Also the last straw was when his campaign manager said, “Repeal of obamacare is not going to happen...”

Guess that wasn’t the last straw for Michele Bachmann. The self-proclaimed leader of the tea-party caucus and candidate whose number one issue was the repeal of Obamacare has been strangley silent since that statement, hasn’t she?
