I just don't see Trump endorsing Romney.

When I first heard the rumor of Trump endorsing Newt, I said to myself, no way.

It will definitely be Romney. Two big players in business. Trump probably wants to jump on the Mitt bandwagon.

No matter who he endorses, it will be forgotten in a week.

Saw Trump on the alphabets a couple of weeks ago. He was playing it close to the chest. My personal guess is that he was waiting to see who won Florida, so he could be a “kingmaker”.

Ever get the feeling that those of us on FR and a few other conservative websites are all that is left of the conservative movement in America?? Are we THAT much of a minority in America?

And pure social/religious conservatives like me are only a small minority on FR itself. The Lord didn't ever say we'd be popular.

"Romney makes more sense for Trump than Newt." Yep...they're both much more into the economic soundness of the USA....than the philosophical soundness of the country....sadly. Economic soundness is not a bad thing....it's simply not the most important thing.

Don’t need him.

He should back a man who stands for nothing.

He should back a man of similar avarice and no conscious.

That man is Mutt.

There is no way this is a mistake.

Trump is saavy enough to keep his name in the public to promote his brands.

Playing games.

1st he is for Newt and then to keep his name out there now he is for Mutt?

Right and now you have one less viewer.

If I’m ever seated next to you at an event I’ll give my tickets to some hapless fool and trade places away from you.

Plick.

(unless there is a valid explanation for this)

Trump? he will stand at a podium with photos of Santorum and Paul on one side, and Willard and Newt on the other. Turing to Santorum and Paul, he will say something about them and announce, “Rick Santorum, you’re fired.” Turning to the audience, he will say, “Tune in next week. to see who will continue.”

Interesing tidbit of info. No way that Trump is endorsing someone who dissed him UNLESS there is some other ($$$) movtivating force

It’s probably a hair thing.

I defend all the candidates but a Trump endorsement is ridiculous, of little meaning. Didn’t he just leave the party? It’s almost embarrassing to be up there with him but we’ll see.

The only plus is if it means no third party.

Sadly probably yes. My wife is a member of the local northeast side TP group and she says all they want to talk about is the Constitution in a philosophical way and work for local candidates. If anything they are most likely to support Paul than anyone else.

“I was cautious about this from the get-go since, Trump is ideologically much closer to Romeny than Newt.”

Can you briefly explain the thinking behind that? It seems that it would be the opposite. This is a disappointment.

Or is Mr. Trump a “fiscal conservative but a social liberal”? We know there is no such reality, but that doesn't stop people from trying to play that game.

I don’t think the endorsement means much, but some of his money could help Newt.

Other angle, will Trump state that he will support Newt or Romney and asks Paul and Santorum to drop out?

“The Lord didn’t ever say we’d be popular. “

Not only that, but is it not written: “The servant is not greater than his master. They hated me; they will hate also you.”?

Sure, it’s difficult now, but we are on the side that ultimately wins, wins big, and wins for all eternity.

Trump would be better off talking to Joe Biden about getting a referral to his “plugs” Dr, than playing silly little self promoting games with the 2012 presidential races.
