Is she as big a RINO as Speaker Boehner and the rest of the House leadership?

Never once heard of her, YAWN.

Your ignorance is tedious.

McMorris Rogers is a good egg, from what I recall.

The VP float is probably just to highlight her as a political 'star' ... don't think she'd be seriously considered.

The main reason she was prominent when first elected was that she was, and is, one of the few pro-life women Congresscritters. I haven’t heard that much from her over her years in office — might be a good thing, since the media isn’t interested in reps who just try to advance conservatism. Usually they have to be liberals or embarassments or headline-grabbers or suckups, though you get exceptions like Paul Ryan.

Attractive but, not hot enough.

She’s a sleeper anyway..

Never heard of her and her wonderousness...

->only eight women to have ever given birth while serving in Congress

Gee, golly, give her first place. :o)

Not a chance. She’s from our state and is irrelevant in terms of political power here.

“Never heard of her and her wonderousness...”

I am just going to weep uncontrollably if it doesn’t go to Hensarling, that other well known, can do, lead from the front conservative firebrand.

Yeah, my ignorance is vast, I have only followed politics all day, every day in multiple mediums since 1992, not heard any one of her three names in that entire time. She’s a real standout, boy, whoooo, wow.

One thing I’ve learned during that time is that if the GOP is good at one thing, it’s nothing.

Go ahead and name her VP, should work wonders.

For some reason, female VPs seem to be the death of a campaign, even when they have substantial conservative cred as Palin did.

Yeah, my thoughts were "How will the Democrats be able to overcome that advantage?" /sarc

She is more conservative than many.

The child, if I recall correctly, is down-syndrome as per Sarah Palin.

"...now in her second term as vice chairman of the Republican Conference, which makes her the highest-ranking Republican woman on Capitol Hill. She has built a significant amount of behind-the-scenes clout, and has become one of her party’s most influential leaders..."

The RNC/Old Boy's Club isn't even finished with shoving Romney down my throat, now they're amping up with an unheard of insider VP candidate.

It's a shame, on all of us, thst no one seriously pushed for a third party in 2008/9.

I used to think she was a good egg. I am in her district and have voted for her every time she’s run.

When the TSA started up the nonsense in airports, I contacted her to see what could be done. I could never even get a response. I had to go through our local GOP office to finally get her to send a form letter, telling me how we NEED the “security”, but she would continue to work for me.

Sheesh.

When the NDAA bill was first in the Senate, I wrote her again, asking her to help stop it. Again, no response. This time, it was because she was VOTING FOR IT in the House! She finally wrote me, telling me that “...you will be pleased to know that the language that impacts US citizens was taken out before passage.”

Um. WHAT?? Then, why did Obama issue a signing statement saying it gave him the authority, but he would not use it??? Why has Ron Paul introduced a bill to delete Section 1021, which DOES contain the provision?

I am DONE with her. I will be contributing to, campaigning for, and voting for her opposition in the future.

'Largely unknown. ..the only woman to have given birth. . .' and more; brings on an uncomfortable deja vu. Bad enough; Repubs 'repeat' with RINO Romney; but pulling an 'unknown' political star - and woman; for VP is just more insanity. Truly; these Republican's have 'lost it'.

Has Congressman West 'ever' crossed their thinking? (Oh; that's right; those Tea Party people will not be appeased in any way, shape or form.)

Stop GOP; you ARE killing us. . .

And yes, anyone seen Hillary's 'new look'? Drudge calls it 'James Bond'; but looks 'Maoist' to me. Somethings going on with that. . .

“Just” a Congresswoman? No way the GOP nominee goes for a young woman with what is considered a relatively thin resume for the VP slot for a second time in a row.

Increbible isn't it? Is this supposed to attract the 'cracker' vote; the 'little people- and Conservative' vote? As if all they need to hear is this singular 'non-accomplishment' sub-texting as 'values' and Mom and apple pie; all in one?

You would think. . .but then; ‘why float it’? Oh, such desperation; and they have only just begun.
