...next week, when Soros gives the nod, Odumbo will say something to drive it back down.
A bunch of Damn FOOLS!
We are being fed lies and damn lies.
Isn’t anybody else sick of this?
“government is cooking these numbers to make The One look better for the election..:
No truer words have ever been typed.
we need to find somewhere safe to park our fund/money until the next big dip. especially our 529’s for the kids. we are just now a little above where we were in fall of ‘08 so would hate to slide back YET AGAIN.
No wonder we are in such deep trouble. The experts are suckers.
According to Gallop, "However, the government is revising its methodology beginning with the January 2012 report. As a result, the government notes, "household survey data for January 2012 will not be directly comparable with that for December 2011 or earlier periods." In turn, this makes estimating the government's unemployment rate for January even more difficult than usual." Of course, that won't stop the Dems from pretending the same methods were used to show a drop in unemployment
From the same link, underemployment - "a measure that combines the percentage of workers who are unemployed with the percentage working part time but wanting full-time work" - is up from 18.3% to 18.7%. We can see what many of those new jobs were.
Unreal that the market can be manipulated like this!
Who is everyone supposed to believe, the government or their lying eyes?
And these morons are supposed to be financial wizards?!
They cannot even add.
Yes, that 1.2 million drop in the labor force was a jaw-dropper for sure. Those 1.2 million unemployed workers still have no job and are just as broke as they were last month but now they are counted as “not in the workforce.”
The announced number of people eligible to be counted as in the workforce has shrunk by millions during Zero’s years in the White House. Otherwise the official unemployment rate would be several percentage points higher. I have read that if those so-called “discouraged workers” and also the part-time workers seeking full-time work are fairly counted, the actual unemployment rate is in the 22-24% range.
Question: The unemployment rate used to be based on all those not having a job. In which administration was the way the BLS calculated the unemployment rate changed? I think under Clinton but I am not sure of that.
S&P500 was higher through most of Mar-May, 2011.
Dow means nuttin’.
They know the numbers are bogus.
But they also know plenty of fools will rush in ripe for the skinning.
The fact is that as companies replace Americans with Asians, their profitability does raise (and the stock prices reflect that). People without work don’t get hired by the DOW Jones...
For years now we’ve heard about how stocks being “up” somehow correlates directly to a good economy for Americans; obviously this wasn’t the case as our country was sold to the highest bidder and we were reduced to serfdom.
