Obama: I'm getting 'better as time goes on'
The Hill ^ | 2/6/12 | Justin Sink

During an interview that aired Monday on NBC's "Today" show, President Obama said that he gets "better as time goes on" at his job and that he believes the grassroots movement that propelled him to victory in 2008 will help him win a second term.

"What's frustrated people is that I've not been able to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes. But what we have been able to do is move in the right direction," Obama said.

"And you know what? One of the things about being president is you get better as time goes on," he added.

The president defended his record, arguing that he has been successful despite his confrontations with Congress.

"We've been able to get a lot done. Not as fast as we want; sometimes it's messy; the process is frustrating," Obama said.

Thank God for the wisdom of the Founders.

Thats what an Intern says.
That's what a new hire on minimum wage says.
That's scary.

Tells you all you need to know about this clown. Unfortunately, many apolitical pop culture drones and self-proclaimed moderates will vote for this guy based on feelings.

First it was Bush’s fault, and now it’s the Founding Fathers’ fault?

Yeah, they specifically designed it that way with guys like you in mind, Barry. Would-be tinpot dictators and monarchs.

Wise men, those Founders.

That’s because the founders didn’t want this country ruled by a dictator.

You dic-—tator.

I'm getting better...

Translation: I had no executive experience, but I do now. Thank you to all you ignoramuses who voted me, an empty suit, into the most powerful executive position in the world. Just give me a little more time to really screw this effing country up.

I don’t buy the “constitutional scholar” BS,
but even so...

a leftist reveres their own intellect and ability to make ad hoc decisions over any rule written in the past by people who weren’t as smart (because they COULDN’T know everything that people know today).

I think this statement of his is just an exposure of that mindset.

That’s what I was thinking.

It’s very curious that this man seems to have no past. It would be very interesting for people who “knew him when” to come forward with their thoughts about him, what kind of person he was. It’s as if he materialised from thin air. He only exists in the eye of the beholder. People projected their own wishes onto him, and he was able to win on the most nebulous of platforms-”hope and change”. It’s not believable that no one out there knew him before and has nothing to say about him.

Please outline for us exactly what this change is that you are seeking. You are short on specifics, Dear Reader, and we are now three years into your term.
