Perhaps the GOP elite (Karl Rove and Company) in Washington have realized that if they force the Romney, then there will be a rise of the Tea Party. Thus, they will lose all their power they enjoy today.

So they compromise with Santorum.

Milt did look awfully choked up during his little teleprompted speech tonight. And dishoveled, too.

Romney needs to get out and quit splitting the vote.

If the general election were caucuses in 50 states then Santorum would maybe have a chance, but it is not.

Santorum vs 0bama would be a replay of Santorum vs Bob Casey...

Casey is the son of a popular pro-life governor who had recently passed away before the election. He also "claims" to be pro-life, but has proven to be a Harry Reid yes man. Ask him, right now, where he stands on Odumbo's edict to the Catholic Church. Also, conservatives punished Santorum for supporting Specter over Toomey (I voted for Santorum, but I was angry for his position during the Toomey primary).

Odumbo is nowhere near as popular as Casey was during that election, and, as it stands now, Santorum is the most Conservative of the remaining candidates (I do not consider Ron Paul a Conservative).

He mentioned how bad this was for Romney, even if Romney came in 2nd in CO, comparing 08 with tonight, in Colorado, reminding us of how Romney dominated there, in 08, and he said that if Santorum pulled a “hat trick” it would be a very bad night for Romney.

LOL.

Many people still misunderstood Newt.
He is the 21st century version of Reagan, +/- some
points here and there..

After SUPER TUESDAY, Newt will reemerge as The Leader.
Look at all the debates: there is Not much that anyone
can remember what Santorum actually said!
(Congrats to Santorum though, but it wont last long).

Who’s the Big Daddy?
Newt!

But in the end, people will choose Newt.
He’s got all: real experience, great ideas and he is not
afraid of doing Big things: nothing ventured, nothing gained.

In the words of Shooter McGavin: “I’ve worked hard my whole life, paid my dues, and now it’s Shooter’s turn. Shooter’s not about to let his reign at the top be spoiled by some freak sideshow clown.”

oh yeah, Shooter? We’ll see about that.

47% in. 41 Santorum 30 Romney

Looking at the difference in percent reporting between the CNN and CO-GOP locations. The total number of votes are about the same (8,326 vs. 7,352), but CNN has 47% vs. 17% reporting with the 17% being precincts. Unless the precincts with the heaviest votes are already in, we still have a long way to go.

Newt is not even on the ballot in VA, which holds its primary on Super Tuesday.
