Open for discussion.
CNN map: NW corner of state all Romney, SW all Santorum.
He has some “Second Wind for Heartland Rick” or some such AND...
Drudge is such a looooooooser.
Yeah but old Rove will be in panic mode when Cameras go off.
Get ready for the Establishment to go nuts. They want Romney in there to lose the election in November.
I think the nomination may be Santorum's to lose.
I was a Gingrich guy, but the momentum is clearly in Rick's favor now.
NON BINDING IS A LIBERAL TERM!!!
STOP SAYING NON-BINDING ON FREE REPUBLIC!!!!!!
Santorum took the biggest county in CO by 16% over Romney, 47% to 31%.
I wish they had a live chat on FNC’s site, though perhaps it’s a good thing, because I’d be screaming, “Bret, do you live in PA? DO YOU? If you don’t, then shut your trap until you find out WHY Santorum lost here — the entire party was hammered at the time!”
We even lost Weldon. That’s how bad it was. The numbskulls down there in DC have no idea what they’re talking about.
Rick? Be warned, do not attack NEWT. We Newt supporters are rejoicing in your victory tonight. Lay off the negatives, and we would appreciate the RICK supporters to be a little more respectful on FR to us.
NEWT? Do not go negative on Santorum, and newt supporters lay off the name calling to the Santorum supporters.
This is now a TEAM EFFORT, to keep O'Romney from winning anything, send him home (wherever that is)hand him a handkerchief on the way out.
ANYBODY BUY O'ROMNEY, that's the deal.
I loved that ad that Rick had with the people being herded over the cliff. One of the best I’ve seen, and so true.
Sideways and on fire!
I noticed that too with those pathetic vote totals. Essentially, Matt Drudge’s spin is “Romney Still Winning”.
Colorado, 100% reporting:
Santorum 26,580 40%
Romney 23,097 35%
Gingrich 8,457 13%
Paul 7,782 12%
Do you have a link to that ad?
Someone send a case of hankies to Fox, look at their faces!!
Don't fret. The most vicious elements of the homosexual lobby and pro-death fascists have been attacking Rick and his family for years. In 2006, Schumer, as head of the DSCC, threw everything he had at Santorum in order to oust him.
Most folks are generally unaware of the types and degree of assaults Santorum has already endured precisely because he's withstood them so well.
Yes, and it is just the "first step". Look for dirty pool before the CO convention because the elites were pulling for Myth (Ted Kennedy with an (R))
He’s had that up since Minn was called for Santorum, but he has changed the Santorum photo now.
Deer in the headlights look by all of them LOL
Now you’re talking!
I actually voted for Gingrich tonight but I’m glad to see Santo take out Romney.
Do you have a link for that ad? I missed it.
your caucus elected delegates to the state convention who will choose the national delegates.
So the initial step in the process was tonite. it was BINDING. as binding as binding can get.
Take a look at the CNN county map for Colorado. Except in the Denver area and the northwest nearest the CO/UT/WY border, it’s a sea of blue (Santorum)
Thank you pollywog! What a refreshing way to end the day!
Good Night to you too!
Maybe we should print it in huge colored letters and send it by mail. CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?
Mitt, just can't speak like it is from the heart.. He is like a stepford husband!
Yes and SIgn it “WE THE PEOPLE”
GReat night for Rick and America. Stick a silver fork in Rombama.
okay, i wanna start a new rule.
unless you know as much as or more than a ronPaulista about caucuses ... then you are not allowed to call yourself a conservative.
call yourself a con-Dolt.
It’s not the typical anti-conservative types Rick has to worry about. It’s the nominal Republican/conservatives. Did you not see what they did to Newt in FL? They will do the same to Rick. This is all about the GOP establishment asserting itself.
Absolutely right! Rick is not our enemy (those of us who support Newt); neither is it the other way ‘round. I’m very happy for Rick.
Team effort: destroy Mitt then destroy the Emperor with no clothes in the White House.
LOL; Bray also said that earlier. I’d love to see it. Rather Willard than Newt.
But not going to happen, but he’s shaken. Question is: Will Newt drop out?
I don’t quite know either how there could be such a shift from Newt to Rick in so short a time. I think that what this proves is that Newt and Rick are appealing largely to the exact same audience. When one goes up, the other must come down. They never finish 1st and 2nd in line, but 1st/3rd or 1st/4th.
Why did Rick surge? Newt seems to have run into huge money troubles after blowing his wad in Florida. He didn’t seem to put in the campaign effort here and he had no debates to benefit from for free coverage. Rick seemed to put in a real effort campaigning in these states.
Although it’s been a while since the last debates, Newt arguably had his worst two debates in Florida, while Santorum landed at least a couple strong punches on both Newt and Mitt. Those performances may have been sinking into people’s minds.
Santorum did get some recent endorsements since Florida...Michelle Malkin, Sharon Angle, and I think there was another decent one.
Maybe the story of him going to be with his sick daughter humanized him in a way that hadn’t happened to any of the candidates so far.
And certainly the news cycle of the economy improving but with the huge controversy over Obamacare and the church taking center stage...well, you couldn’t find a better issue for Santorum to run on, combining both Obamacare which he hammered in the last debate with a social issue that would motivate his base of religious conservatives to get out and vote.
This is good news all around. Hey, Mitt-wit, you got the MSM, and the Money BUT NOT THE PEOPLE!!
Hey media, there's your beauty contest, right there. Bella wins, no contest.
Good job Dad. Go Newt
Topped with vinegar, onions and garlic.
I believe your comments about RS aren't particularly at all and in fact seem a bit disingenous. Particularly the first and second sentences, which can be torn apart on logic and facts.
Well, maybe I am reading you wrong--for which I apologize. Why not just say "I don't support Santorum" and leave it at that, rather than all the several snide comments about Santorum personally? Hmmm? OTOH, if you have evolved in your thinking, then that is another thing. This is a night of immense victory for him, his family and his supporters. Can you allow people to savor it just for a moment, and practice the Golden Rule a bit? [I was in fact happy for the Gingrich supporters when he got his single victory in South Carolina.]
Interesting observation. There were two candidates from Minnesota in the Republican race. Bachmann endorsed nobody, and Pawlenty endorsed Romney. But with Pawlenty’s endorsement, Romney couldn’t really register in Minnesota.
And Nikki Haley’s endorsement didn’t help Romney win South Carolina.
Gee, I thought it might be on this thread early on. I’m not sure but it could have been on a thread that I read just before I opened this one. You might find it on You Tube.
Nothing worse than a lot of Newt supporters have been doing to Rick here.
"They will do the same to Rick."
They will certainly try. They will also find out that Santorum is made of much tougher stuff than most give him credit for.
Neither Newt or Rich have much money....They’ve combined their efforts. It truly is a tag-team effort.
Am listening to RS now on FOX, he’s really downing Mitt but has only said positive things about Newt. Even backtracking an earlier comment that could have been anti Newt.
Well, that’s comforting to know.
LOL! Guy at the end of the video peels off his shirt and underneath he is wearing a sweater vest!
He's in at least until Super Tue.
The beauty here is Rick will be in mitty's crosshairs now. Newt will reap the benefits.
are you drunk? I have no clue what, if anything, you were trying to say in your post.
