has no base

There was nothing inevitable about Mitt Romney on Tuesday night. And should he lose any other significant primary contests in the weeks to come, he wont be the most electable, either. Indeed, Romneys humiliating defeats in Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado this week have blown a potentially fatal hole in the argument that the least-conservative candidate would be embraced by the GOPs conservative base because they simply have no choice.
What Rick Santorums upset victories proved this week has been true all along that the former Massachusetts governor has no base of loyal supporters in the party, and that the most conservative voters are desperate for another choice.

Well, if you don’t count the Republican Establishment, the MSM including Fox News, and, surreptitiously, the DNC, then I guess the headline might have a small ring of truth...
“Mitt’s base is the Establishment.”
Every dessicated, dead soul, revenant one of them.
RINOs for dinner, donkeys for dessert!
Snip from 2010 article:
What is a suicide bomb Republican? He or she is a RINO who, having lost an election or otherwise proven unable to stand against a conservative in a primary, chooses to do everything in his or her power to detonate the chances their own Partys conservative candidate to win against the liberal Democrat in the ensuing contest. In doing so, the RINO saps the strength of their Party, and helps to do great damage to the people of this country as a whole, as they try to enable liberal Democrats to win elections, allowing the socialists to continue to make policy decisions that are ruining us all. Unable to win in a stand-up fight, the suicide bomb RINO has opted to kill their own Partys chances of victory, like some sort of perverse, anti-conservative IED sitting by the roadside.
Contrary to what some third partyists and others who have created a cottage industry out of attacking all Republicans may think, most Republicans are conservative. The rank-and-file of the GOP wants conservative candidates, but several years of disappointment and apathy allowed the Rockefellerian go-along-to-get-along types to cement their hold on the Party apparatus. These leaders in the GOP, however, could really care less about the Republican Party. They are in it for their own power and advancement, and when insurgent conservatives (how can you be an insurgent when you are merely taking what is rightfully yours?) threaten this, we see that the suicide bomb Republican would rather destroy the Party than let someone else have it. When push comes to shove, they will blast away at the very thing they sought to rule.
Maybe he can get some of those people from his special planet to come down and vote for him.
My wife and I are Tea Party Independents and if Romney gets the nomination we’ll vote for the Libertarian.
So, vote wisely... ;)
Talking with many in our community and learning votes will not go to Romney. Voters are disgusted with the GOP/RNC/RINO selection process and their inability to speak out and act against Obama and what he and his comrades are doing to America and our children, grandchildren, unemployed and elderly. Silence and inaction are complicity.
I’m active with the local chapter of AFP; (Americans for Prosperity.) They are hooked up with the Tea Party.
