AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! I'm NEVER in the mood for nonsense. :) bttt
Going out to lunch at Applebee’s today; will BBL.
LOL - I can tolerate it better some days. Lately, my tolerance level is set on zero.
Jealous!!!! My Lean Gourmet looks even less appetizing now. Have a great lunch.
I no longer suffer fools. I used to be nicer. And thinner come to think of it.
I’m jealous too! Have dessert!
I passed Ditka’s place the other day. It looks nice.
My company is treating some of us to lunch and giving us a bonus for completing a project “well”. This ought to be interesting.
All the grammar nazis out there need to go to www.engrishfunny.com :) There are some off color translations; but these are real actual products/signs/etc.
Either of this will cause you to lose your faith in humanity; but many hours of laughing.
And when they came for the Catholics I did nothing, for I was not a Catholic.
Morning! Went to the Santorum Rally last night, it was packed. I ended up getting their on time but had no seats and about 300 of us stood outside to listen. Impressive, I have to say. I didnt know what to expect. He is calm and patient. I saw Mark Davis too, and if you all know Im not a big fan, lol:)
I love CakeWrecks! I have seen, numerous times, Super Bowel, committed to icing and sign boards :)
If anyone else cares (i do!) Rick Santorum is on with Glenn Beck (Beck is on before Rush in da Burgh).
I have remembered that principle over the years because it was so powerful when I first read it. And now in America, I am a witness to it. So, to be a little livid, I will borrow from “Reverend” Wright. God .... Obama, and God .... those who serve with him.
You can compromise with a wife or with a business colleague. But not with Democrats: "We don't have shared goals with the Democrats."
Soon to top issue on the Sunday talk shows.
Awesome! How exciting. :) Sounds like you enjoyed yourself.
:) I worked as a cake decorator for my dad’s restaurant/bakery for several years when I was younger. Some of the things I had to correct were...embarrassing to say the least.
Did you get to talk to Mark Davis?
I have a framed print with that in my office and in my home to remind me that to stay silent in the face of evil is an endorsement of evil.
no autograph from Davis/s :)
for my 50cough cough ish birthday at the time ,my grandson was 3 and he demanded he pick out my birthday cake.
I got me a lovely round red coconut ELMO CAKE
He got 1st slice too.
I see ABC news is back to lying about the unemployment figures again. Must be a once a week thing now until election day.
Awwww. You’re such a great grandfather.
I hope you like coconut.
I’m just surprised it took this long for them to start.
Chris Plante is worried he won’t back it up and lets the media use it to beat up conservatives till the election. I agree. He better not go ‘new tone’ after saying that.
Anthropogenic Global Warming is a HOAX!
the USED to be conservative KFYI in Phoenix had a mornin host named Bruce Jacobs...
..Bruce was raised in Brooklyn, is jewish, and to the right of Rush.
..Jacobs’ show was 5 a.m. to 8 a. m. and if’n you had the radio on or earbuds close from the nite before and caught 1 minute of Bruce, you didn’t need coffee.
.. No one brought honest thunder down like one skinny lil Bruce Jacobs.
.. I miss em
That can't be yelled loud enough. The Obama's of the world only compromise temporarily. And even in compromise, they cheat and you can't stop them because they wield the political and judicial power. It's a classic leftist tactic. They call for a truce when they are losing, then regroup, rearm, and attack again. I hope the Catholic Church stands its ground, and I hope even more that those Catholics who voted for Obama will open their eyes. They, along with their Church, have been targeted by Obama. The left frames this as a women's choice issue. It is nothing of the sort. It is the opening salvo against a religion that the left HATES. And there is much much MORE to come.
The Himalayas and nearby peaks have lost no ice in past 10 years, study shows
Wiki says he took over the 3:00 p.m - 7:00 p.m. slot on WTMM-FM in Albany, NY.
of course there is ice in the Himalayas now....Kennedy has been sober 3 plus years now.
BUT BUT BUT the science is settled!
hold on while I get some paper, pencil, and spit.
Yup. Just ask Noot.
Every time they call it ‘women’s health’ I feel like my head is going to explode.
The free cell phone thing makes me crazy. They ran a commercial here in PA, where a well coiffed, acrylic nailed daughter puts her arm around her EQUALLY well coiffed and manicured mom...and daughter proclaimed “now I don’t have to worry about mom not being able to get in touch with me or call for help...” Yeah. If you were THAT worried, why didn’t YOU PUT MOM ON YOUR CELL PHONE PLAN !! No!!! The message was DON’T take care of your family... Let the government!!! We have FIVE cell numbers on our plan, and if I still had a liviv parent and they couldnt afford a phone I would ADD them to my plan (and forego something else to take care MY loved one!!!). Not expect the state to!!!

Rush will be playing clips from Rubio’s speech at CPAC soon.
Here’s an item on it from The Hill:
Rubio blasts Obama as ‘terrible president’ in CPAC speech By Justin Sink - 02/09/12 11:40 AM ET
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), suspected to be close to the top of every Republican presidential candidate’s wish list for a running mate, delivered a blistering critique of President Obama at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.
“The president of the United States looks like he’s a really good father, looks like he’s a really good husband, but he is a terrible president,” Rubio said to applause from an audience of prominent conservative activists.
Rubio blasted the president’s record, arguing repeatedly that he had “failed” throughout his first term.
“He got everything he wanted from Congress, and guess what, everything got worse,” Rubio said. “He cannot run on his record.”
Rubio also predicted that Republicans would come together after their bruising primary fight unlike, he said, Democrats, who are reticent to embrace the label “liberal.”
“Don’t let the media convince you at the end of the day we’re all going to come together,” Rubio said.
He went on to joke about Democrats adopting the term “progressive,” saying that he “thought that was an insurance company.”
“[The GOP presidential candidates] are in a fight about who is more like Ronald Reagan, but Democrats never argue who is more like Jimmy Carter,” Rubio said to laughter and applause.
Rubio went on to outline a series of proposals that he argued would improve the economy, including tax code reform and a new energy policy.
“The point is we stand for simplicity and normalcy in the tax code the tax code should not be an impediment to the creation of jobs and opportunity,” Rubio said.
He also blasted the president’s decision to require employers to provide health care that included access to contraceptives, saying the mandate could undermine faith-based communities and the “strong character and strong moral values” of Americans.
“The first amendment still applies. Religious freedom still exists,” Rubio said. “This isn’t even a social issue, this is a constitutional issue.”
Rubio’s speech came two years from his debut at the conference, one which elevated the freshman senator into the national political consciousness for many. Although Rubio has repeatedly denied interest in a spot as a vice presidential candidate on the Republican ticket, his Latino roots and ties to Florida a pivotal swing state have put him squarely at the center of most speculation.
