The Westboro Baptist Church, which has gained infamy for protesting at the funerals of men and women killed in combat, will have a new target on Saturday: the services for two little boys slain by their father.
The church, whose "God hates fags" signs and messages have been seen across the country, intends to be at the funeral of Charlie Powell, 7, and his brother, Braden, 5. Saturday at the Life Center Church in Tacoma.
The boys died Sunday after their father , Josh Powell, blew up their Pierce County home.

J.C. Penny has "hired" Ellen Degenerate as their "celebrity" spokesperson. I don't see the WBC protesting J.C. Penny!! They appear to only come out protesting at funerals, where there is a chance someone will assault them, so they can turn around and sue.

I agree 100%. However, now that every marginally sane American, from Left-Winger to FReeper has condemned them, I think it is time to start ignoring them.
Nothing would anger and frustrate these evil, publicity whores and scum than being ignored. If they had a few of their evil protests and the media, those passing by and their victims paid no attention at all, I’d be willing to bet that they would soon stop.

Phelps knows that public figures can't sue him very easily, I think we should find some people to harass Phelps, who have the resources to do battle with him in Court.
They should get the same treatment everywhere the got in Brandon Mississippi, it would stop their crap.
This past fall they claimed they were going to travel to my old home town in northern Michigan for the funeral of a serviceman but they never showed up.
The media needs to deny them the attention they want by completely ignoring them but that's not likely to happen tho because they're a useful tool for the media.

I know that. I just wanted to give them a dose of their own medicine. They say God hates fags, fallen soldiers, incinerated little boys, etc; I say God hates Westboro. In fact, if I had the money and time, I’d keep track of when one of these “Baptists” died and show up at his or her funeral in a sandwich board with that written on it.
I really wish the media would stop reporting on these pieces of excrement. They are media whores. If they stopped getting media attention they would eventually go away.
These cretins thrive on publicity, and bring cameras with them to all events they go to. They do not believe anyone would dare attempt to kill any of them. If someone did kill one or more of these cretins, they others would file a huge lawsuit - and knowing how today’s “justice” system in this country works, they would win that suit.

Someone in the area needs to find out what hotel/motel they are staying at.
Then, the morning of the funeral, park a car or two blocking in all the vehicles with Kansas license plates.
When they complain, oops, sorry, can’t find the drivers of the cars and gosh, all the tow-trucks are tied up right now - until after the funeral anyway.
