Santorum gave a very inspirational speech today at CPAC, putting into focus what this election is really about. He says that while this election is about jobs, its really about something even bigger the country we will leave behind for our children and grandchildren.
Heres the full speech:

CSPAN is saying Romney speaks at 12:55 est and Newt Gingrich at 4:10pm est today.
I didn’t hear the speech, but Laura Ingraham sounds VERY disappointed in the speech and audience response. Is she off base?
Ingram is in the tank for Romney.
RS is probably a good man, but he is so boring. I was watching but just walked away to do something interesting, like washing the dishes. I will vote for him if he wins the primary, but it would not be joyfully.
Thanks, this will be good background music for my morning’s FReeping ;-)
“Conservatism did not fail our country; conservatives failed conservatism”.
We will not compromise our beliefs for a hollow victory in November.
Pretty inspiring to me.
I watched the speech and felt it hit on all the right things which were important to the American people such as bailouts, tarp, Obamacare, the attack on religion, jobs, govt. control over our lives, etc.. I felt the speech was very moving and quite convincing. He said people power will make it happen and not money power using attack ads. The people responded quite enthusiastically to him from what I could see.
Followed bits and pieces on Twitter and I thought his points were right on.
He probably needs some coaching about delivery is all.
Hoping the audience isn’t fooled by the fake Conservative message that they will heard in an hour from Mittens.
6 minutes in. Solid, competent and predictable. Not bad. But not inspirational.
Yikes! Ann Coulter is on now. I hope she gets booed.
-—He probably needs some coaching about delivery is all.-—
Yes. He’s not bad at all, but he can’t deliver a stemwinder.
I know some believe it wasn't "inspirational" or "rousing" but I enjoyed it. I guess I look more for content than delivery. I'm certainly going to give the guy another look, especially after seeing how NumbersUSA graded him on immigration. Frankly, I found it more distracting that he had his family standing up there during the entire speech than his delivery of it.
Rick Santorum is a strong conservative, principled, family man and knows the problems that are confronting us today. An inspirational speaker he is not.
Barrack Obama is an inspirational speaker. Do you still want inspirational?
How about inspirational NEWT?
bump to watch it at home.
I thought his speech was boring,I find Rick no inspirational.I can’t wait to hear Newt.
My vote is for Newt.

Great point.
I really like his modest way. He seems so genuine. I am craving genuine after these central casting phonies like mitt and Barack.
I’ve heard from friends attending that Santorum’s speech was VERY moving.
Newt can be inspirational too. But when he starts rattling all that stuff off, you can almost see his hand proudly patting his own back.
I have no way of knowing what path your life has taken, but over the course of my 42 years, I've come to find solidity and competence to be very inspiring.

Get the point?
OF COURSE SHE WOULD BASH AND UNDERRATE SANTORUM'S SPEECH AT CPAC JUST NOW.
SHE IS IN THE TANK FOR MITT ROMNEY.
I had tears welled in my eyes and plenty of sniffles, so I guess Santorum’s speech was indeed moving. Bob
I’m in business, and I know what you mean. I’ll take that over flashy any day. I just mean that he’s no Alan Keyes. Maybe that’s an impossibly high standard.
His delivery was monotone, so there was no build-up to any kind of climax. Apparently, it was scripted, which could explain the stiffness.
I have seen him much better, as in his outstanding Iowa speech.
After seeing the comments describing Santorum’s speech as lackluster, I was pleasantly surprised.
Folks, most populists aren’t worth the powder to blow them to hell.
Thank heaven Santorum isn’t another one.
His speech covered a lot of ground. I respect the guy, and will vote for him very comfortably in November.
When I hear Newt I feel that we can get the Greatness that was America (before obama)back. Santorum doesn’t come close to Newt.Santorum is nice. Nice won’t solve the many problems that will confront our next President.
We need a well informed candidate who will be ready to go from day one and who will NOT back down from our enemies without and within. Newt has already been there, done that.
Go Newt!!!
