Madonna called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to discuss her Super Bowl performance including the controversy around M.I.A.‘s digit malfunction, and whether or not we can expect Britney Spears on her upcoming single “Girls Gone Wild.” Since stepping off the Super Bowl stage controversy has swirled due to Madonna’s guest performer M.I.A. raising a middle finger during the performance. Madonna confesses: “I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…there was such a feeling of love and unity there, what was the point? It was just out of place.” (Skip to 7:20)

Oh boy, here is an opportunity to hear/possibly see a world class skank, explain morality to me.

Ah..., no thanks. Sure wish I had more time right now. The next 2.5 days are clear, and I don’t want to waste any of them on at least hum-drum things.

I’m surprised that in Indianapolis, of all places, they didn’t have Johnny Cougar Mellencamp doing the halftime show.

She’s a Sri Lankan who supports the terrorist Tamil Tigers. The group that invented the suicide bomber. She should be in jail.

Mellencamp, while an Obama supported, actually did say some nice things about Sarah Palin, which shocked me.

I think the Who and Paul McCartney did great half time shows. But for some reason the NFL seems to think they need to hire “edgy” acts to play to get the teens to watch.

Odd thing is I doubt many teens really watch for anything but the commercials.

The half time shows are boring

perhaps, but the halftime got the highest rating of the entire game

and since the networks are fervent capitalists when it comes to advertising sales, that's the big dog

M.I.A. was a regular daily poster on twitter. Her last tweet was prior to the Superbowl performance.

She also broke up with her billionaire fiance record producer, moved back to England and left her daughter behind.

Her day is not done yet. The NFL has a breech of contract case against her and the FCC could still fine her personally.
