BREAKING: Pro-life leaders slam White House ‘compromise’ on birth control mandate
Lifesitenews.com ^ | Fri Feb 10, 2012 11:32 EST | Kathleen Gilbert

WASHINGTON, February 10, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The White House announced today that, instead of forcing religious employers to pay for birth control, it will force insurance companies to offer the drugs free of charge to all women, no matter where they work.

The plan, touted as a concession to freedom of religion and conscience, was immediately denounced by pro-life Rep. Chris Smith. “The so-called new policy is the discredited old policy, dressed up to look like something else,. said Smith. .It remains a serious violation of religious freedom. Only the most naï or gullible would accept this as a change in policy.”

“The White House Fact Sheet is riddled with doublespeak and contradiction,” Smith continued. “It states, for example, that religious employers ‘will not’ have to pay for abortion pills, sterilization and contraception, but their ‘insurance companies’ will. Who pays for the insurance policy? The religious employer.”

I was thinking condoms - probably be cited for some environmental violation.
But one thing’s for sure, I would look nothing like the wearer of that outfit...

Somehow I don't see "Condom Party" catching on as big with conservatives as "Tea Party" did.

Besides, Newt's already had enough bad press without having photos of him throwing condoms into the river making the papers.

I say, wear anything of historical significance or couture importance. Velvet knickers, puffy shirts and Manolos would be fab.

Failing that, you can't miss with a green sweater! (bring it back, you BASTARDS!!!)

As I understand, the regime’s policy yesterday was that if you were a direct employee of the Catholic Church (working in a rectory or the diocesan offices), you could be given a policy that didn’t cover birth control agents or abortifacients; if you worked for a Catholic school or hospital, you had to be covered with those things.

Obama’s “improved accomodation” is now ALL of those individuals will have to have those things covered, since ALL policies will have to include them.

Any catholic who votes for Bammy is WORSE than a heathen—for at least a heathen has nothing to do with the Almighty but a catholic who supposedly acknowledges God violates the tenets by voting for a baby killing, abortionist loving president and Dem cronies who have sold their soul for votes and the expense of innocent baby blood. Hate to be them on Judgement Day.

Galatians 6:7–8 (NKJV)
7. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

The life expectancy for women born in the US is now about 80 years (and that should slowly increase). For more than half of a typical woman's lifespan, she cannot become pregnant and therefore has no reason to use birth control. I would guess that the percentage of women of child-bearing years who use birh control is much lower than the 98 or 99% they are quoting. It's probably not one of those questions where poll results are going to be very accurate.

I was watching this catholic religious program last night, and this congressman said that someone leaked this out and Obama didn’t want it out until after the election....but he also said that this was about obamacare and just not about the right to life but also the end of life, for the sick n old people and about how they would be denied healthcare and medicine...

“Why is he even allowed to get away with all that he’s doing???”

All I can think of is that It’s supernatural. God is allowing the deception. The antichrist spirit is hovering. People are becoming deluded.

And....the men of today just don’t have the means neccessary to rise up and fight. Thomas Jefferson gave us the right to overthrow a tyrannical government. Said it is our DUTY in fact.

Here in NY we have Catholic Health Insurance called Fidelis care. This change would force them to give out contraceptives.Obama must think we are stupid

http://www.fideliscare.org/downloads/prov_manual/pm_16.pdf

Fidelis Care New York will offer natural family planning services and certain other reproductive health care services. However, Fidelis has elected not to offer all reproductive and family planning services, including abortion, sterilization, and artificial contraception, as a standard benefit nor to receive premium dollars from the State of New York for such services.

“I have a friend who is a devout Mormon. Her daughter went into a clinic to get a pre-marital physical exam. She was put throught a gautlet of intrusive questions about her relationship with her fiance. Now I can understand some of these questions being necessary. However, when the young woman told the physician that she and her fiance did not believe in pre-marital sex and that she was therefore a virgin - she was met witrh scepticism and an attitude of disbelief. This young lady was made to feel like a freak of nature because she had sincere religious beliefs against promiscuity.”

I know exactly what this is about.
In these cases you don’t say “I don’t believe in pre-marital sex therefore I couldn’t possibly...what were you thinking?”
Just say there was no sex. Doctors don’t want to deduce ‘obvious’ implications because there are plenty of people who made mistakes and slipped despite their beliefs.

The Federal Government is wildly out of control. What can be done to stop it?

Good question. First we have to defeat Barack Hussein Obama this fall. I am ready to put myself into this effort once we get a candidate. Santorum is the only one I could get real excited about, but Newt would do. Romney is just a little too robotic and moderate for my tastes. But I suppose I will have to support him if he ends up being the nominee.

The 99% contracepting figure is supposedly women who have used birth control any time in their lives, not those who are currently using at any one given moment. Somewhere I saw the real figures. I will see if I can find it. The Catholic women currently using is more in the 60-80% range. I have seen different figures in different places, and it depends on if you are talking about Christmas/Easter Catholics or practicing Catholics. But the 98% and 99% figures are just mislesding and false.

Husband comes out and says, kind of snarkily, that Obamer’s “concession” was accepted and beloved by the Catholic powers that be.

I asked him who. He said “some Bishop”.

Is this true?

Cause making the insurance company pay for this is naught but semantics.

It’s positively insulting.

I wonder if “professor” Obama knows the meaning of the phrase “distinction without a difference”.

He probably does; he’s just counting on the electorate not knowing.

Anyway, if women have a right to “free” contraception, what is this “right” based on? The usual liberal “it’s my right because I want it”?

I don't understand this whole controversy. Catholic hospitals aren't forced to give condoms, they aren't forced to even stock condoms. All that is required is that if the janitor wants to use his health insurance to buy some condoms, he should be allowed to. Then again, I never thought it a wise policy to tell the the Africans, who are starving and ravage with AIDS, not to use condoms either. So maybe I am bias against the Catholic tradition of no birth control.

Condoms are not purchased by prescription. It is referring to pills, including Plan B, which is the day after pill. I’m not sure the details involving the insurance covering abortions.

It would be like forcing an atheist to tithe.

Boehner’s promise can’t come soon enough. But even if Rubio’s bill happens to be introduced by someone in the House, it’ll hit a brick wall in the Senate. Something bigger needs to happen, but I can’t imagine what that will be. It’s tax-time, soon. Is it time for a real tea party?

I think that the insurance companies agreed to this because it costs a lot less to provide free contraception than it does to pay for maternity care, delivery, and family medical care after a child is born. I have a serious problem with any man/religion that says I cannot plan when I will bear children, whether I will be allowed to use contraception, and wants to get rid of WIC programs and other aid to poor women who have children.

The question is who is Peter and who is Paul. Insurance companies charge a certain amount for family plans. If they provide free contraception, then they save money on maternity care, childbirth, and pediatrician visits. So whose Ponzi scheme is it??
