I think Rick’s rise began when Mark Levin endorsed him.
Levin endorsed Bachmann as well as the most principled conservatives in the race.

Rick Santorum won 4 states, out of 5, in a blue/purple district/state.
Rick said he endorsed Specter because he thought Specter would have the best chance of winning (and Specter DID do very well in that race), and Rick wanted the Senate to have the majority so they had control of the Judiciary Committee.
Rick said we wouldn’t have Alito if it weren’t for Specter. Specter was the head of the Judiciary Committee, as you probably know.
Some of our fellow FReepers seem to go on a witch hunt to find weaknesses, but if ONLY they at least found out the reason WHY Rick did what he did.
Nobody is perfect, but I can understnd Rick’s logic for endorsing Specter.
I love Palin, and she endorsed McCain, and I like Newt, but he endorsed Dede, the RINO. But yet that is ignored by the aniti-Rick people.
You can read every post I’ve ever posted and you won’t find one where I’ve “praised” Romney. Do you ever think before you spout off?

Anyway, I was reading something that you wrote on something and I thought I have not seen Varina Davis in a long time. I really wish I have the opportunity to wish her Happy Valentine’s Day and wow. Where was I all day? Well, I actually do have a life apart from FR. I’m a newspaper editor/writer, a mother and have various other interests. I’ll try to be around here more — lol.

That is really cool. I always wished I was a better writer. I think writers have very interesting lives and a wonderful imagination. Plus a writing style that is so prolific and great. I barely can put two sentences together. lol. Anyway glad to see you will be around much more. I bet you are a great Mom.
Yes indeed. Writing, especially journalism, is a great career. Started when I covered politics during the Barry Goldwater days and was lucky enough to meet him, get his autograph on his book “Conscience of a Conservative,” and be in a photo with him. Treasured memories.
Being a mom is also a great career and infinitely harder.
I hope Rick wins. He is the best of the candidates. But he should sell himself and his ideas and stop with silly statements such as saying Romney is “desperate,” which is irrelevant and just divert from the message.
