Well maybe you're right. Let's all get behind the "real conservative."

Oh him was just an itty bitty Congressperson, him no understand how earmarks worked. Give me a break.

As far as writing Obama’s second inaugural address. I imagine he would give thanks to the GOP, for nominating someone with bizarre big government ideas that helped make Obama’s own bizarre big government ideas look not so strange, or for nominating that obscure congressman with such consistently high negative ratings that he is now finishing behind Ru Paul in primaries. Time for Newt to do the right thing and get behind Rick. Santorum isn’t my first choice, but he’s clearly the most conservative of what’s left. But Newt shouldn’t worry, he can always get a job with ACORN, they worked so well together in getting a Democrat elected in NY 23.

Did you get governmental authorization for your post, comrade?

After all, personal autonomy is frowned upon in conservative circles. Only government control can create good conservative action.

Obey the state...

“Those lists of Gingrich’s conservative positions boggles the mind. It’s almost too much to digest.”

It boggles the mind, indeed. Don’t forget that he’d get involved in politics first at 19, so ...

But what is most astonishing for me, is why the deuce doesn’t he have 100% of Republican voters WITH him (not for him, as he said)?
A great country having such a great presidential candidate, to be ignored, hated or despised by many of the people who share his values, THIS is mind boggling.

As Time Magazine wrote in 1995, when Newt was elected ‘Man of the Year’: “LEADERS MAKE THINGS POSSIBLE. EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS make them inevitable. Newt Gingrich belongs in the category of the exceptional.”

As Time Magazine wrote in 1995, when Newt was elected ‘Man of the Year’:

“LEADERS MAKE THINGS POSSIBLE. EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS make them inevitable. Newt Gingrich belongs in the category of the exceptional.

All year—ruthlessly, brilliantly, obnoxiously—he worked at hammering together inevitabilities: a balanced federal budget, for one. Not so long ago, the idea of a balanced budget was a marginal, we’ll-get-to-it-someday priority. Other urgent work needed doing: the Clintons’ health-care program, for example, which would have installed elaborate new bureaucratic machinery. Today, because of Newt Gingrich, the question is not whether a balanced-budget plan will come to pass but when.

Gingrich has changed the center of gravity. From Franklin Roosevelt onward, Americans came to accept the Federal Government as the solution to problems, a vast parental presence. Ronald Reagan preached that government was the problem, but his Administration focused mostly on the Evil Empire; it did not overturn the grand centralizing legacy of New Deal and Great Society. Newt Gingrich wants to reverse the physics, make American government truly centrifugal, with power flowing out of Washington, devolving to the states.

Having organized an insurrectionist crew in the House, Gingrich seized the initiative from a temporarily passive President and steered the country onto a heading that the Speaker accurately proclaimed to be revolutionary. His venture is in a stormy mid-passage now. It may ultimately be forced back, or even sunk. Yet Gingrich did the work—crude, forceful, effective—that compelled the voyage in the first place. It is for that reason he is Time’s Man of the Year.

Gingrich envisions a promised land—an America that may lie just over the horizon, in his cherished Third Wave Information Age, where traditional values connect to the future. He hopes to get to a place beyond poverty and violence and moral decay by leaving behind the welfare state and the deadening, blockheaded bureaucratic mind of Washington: a renewed civilization, says Newt—Norman Rockwell in the 21st century, a wholesome Utopia. Newt’s destination has the refulgence of a never-never land—that is, an ideal. But in America, ideals have always been a necessary and efficient form of national energy. Which came first—Newt’s vision of the future? Or his fierce personal ambition? Which one drives the other? The nearest answer may be found in W.B. Yeats’ line (in language prettier than Gingrich might use): “How can we know the dancer from the dance?”

IF GINGRICH WERE TO RUN for president, of course, he might be applying for a job inferior to the one he has created for himself as Speaker of the House. Whatever his fortunes in the polls and in the hands of a special counsel to the House ethics committee, Gingrich has the American genius for reinventing himself. The Gingrich Republicans, however, may be in danger of exercising their party’s perverse talent for throwing away its advantages with both hands.

Justice Holmes judged that Franklin Roosevelt had a “second-class intelligence but a first-class temperament.” Newt Gingrich has a first-class intelligence that fires through a strangely refracted temperament that is not exactly second-class but agitated and sometimes grandiose enough to make Americans nervous. He has proved himself an impresario of leverage in using Congress to change America, a sort of hothouse genius. Americans may discover in 1996 whether Gingrich can evolve outward—as a truly popular leader in the open air.”

— LANCE MORROW, ‘NEWT GINGRICH’S WORLD’, Dec. 25, 1995

I just heard it again by a democrat talking head on Hannity. Obammunism wants to define a church as only the worship event.

They want to amputate church ministries from the church body and pretend it is a separate entity. They want to view the hospitals, schools, centers, colleges, etc. as something other than the Church.

Jesus is his own man when He’s at synagogue preaching, but not when he heals or teaches.

It is grossly, willfully ignorant about the totality of what constitutes Christianity.

There is only ONE way to stop Obama - and I'm very serious, when I say that :

nominate Newt as Republican candidate for the national election and he will take care of Beurkrack.

No one else can stop Obama, no light-weight Mitt, Rick, Jeb or Sarah. You need an intellectual bulldozer to crush him, and the name, already famous, is - NEWTON.

Gov.Rick Perry:

“I think Newt by any measure, from the standpoint of fiscal conservatism, being able to actually operate in that shark tank in Washington, is the most capable individual. He’s balanced a number of budgets before.

I know for a fact that Newt knows how to work there. He is committed to blowing the place up, from a figurative standpoint, and to really put policies into place tax-wise, regulatory-wise.

You don’t see any of the other candidates out there talking about the Tenth Amendment and empowering the states and devolving power out of Washington, except Newt Gingrich.

We have gone so far left with this president, with his attack on the states, Obamacare, the war on religion.

When I talked about this administration being in a war against religion, there were a lot of people who were taken aback about that. But I was right then, and I’m right now.

I think Newt is the right person to go in and draw this bright contrast, on budgetary issues, on foreign policy, obviously on values, of all the candidates. I think he is the purest one.

I feel comfortable today that Newt is the most conservative and the individual who will go to Washington D.C., and make it as inconsequential in our lives as he can.”

“You call Santorum boring, you’re calling conservatism boring.”

Santorum is conservative only in relation to other east coast Republicans. Take away his social agenda and most would call him an east cost moderate.....not that far from Romney.

Newt has lived and breathed Conservatism for most of his political life. Is he perfect???? No, neither are you or I.

While I’ll take Santorum if forced to choose between him and Romney or him and Obama, IMHO no on brings Conservatism to the table like Newt.

Newt is my first second and third candidate of choice, Santorm runs a distant fourth. The rest fall behind in wide intervals........

You don’t see any of the other candidates out there talking about the Tenth Amendment and empowering the states and devolving power out of Washington, except Newt Gingrich. -- Rick Perry

Amen. God bless Rick Perry for the true and humble patriot he is. The other day I took the time to read some (didn't have time to read it all) of Newt Gingrich's extremely detailed, specific plans on what he will do in the White House. Reading it gave me goosebumps not only becuase it was so RIGHT, such a beautiful wish-list to make any patriot's heart swell with longing, but because if half the folks who oppose Gingrich actually knew the truth about his political platform, they'd stand up and cheer right next to me! Gingrich's step by step, hard-core proposal on what he'd do to restore the 10th Amendment ALONE is enough to crawl over broken glass to get him elected to the White House.
