Good for your 30 year old son and good for you. But you just proved my point. Do you not realize that we are talking about human beings and men in particular. So Saint Rick has never made any mistakes that speak to his character. Give me a break. We all sin and seek forgiveness, including Rick Santorum. Character is built over a lifetime. Jesus had his strongest words to the self-righteous. Seems he thought it the one of the worse sins. Just saying. We are looking for someone with courage and the ability to move the country forward. Like I said I will vote for Rick if he gets for enough. But he will not win. You may not like that, but for what it is worth, get back with me after the election.
Much of Paul's support will return back to the dems anyway.

How has newt “self-destructed?”. I think he has had plenty of help from so-called conservatives, filthy political ads, MSM, and idiots who are hung up on this new term, “electable.”. This alone should make everyone flock to Gingrich.

I won’t complain if Santorum wins the nomination. Defeating Romney is our priority right now, and if Rick comes out on top, then so be it. I just never imagined him being someone to bring out Reagan Democrats. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have social conservatism in our corner as a backup plan in case the Obama regime keeps cooking the numbers to make people think that the economy is recovering.
Rick has had several weeks now to come up with material for next Wednesday’s debate. Let’s hope he doesn’t squander this opportunity like Newt in Florida.

I believe that the most sensible way to interpret the support that Santorum gets from Indy&Dem voters (evangelical, etc.) “who intend to vote in the primary” is that there are many conservative Dems and Indys (of which I could count myself) who can’t stand Obama, distrust Romney and Paul, and worry about Mr.Newt. In other words: interpret it straight up, as opposed to how some “operation chaos” fearmongers encourage.
Pray he gets the full-force vetting deserved before its too late.
This guy’s modus-operandi is always the same. Name calling and rude remarks. He is one of about 8 that does the same. He is probably responsible for driving a nice sized contingent away from Newt by his remarks, thereby helping the cause for Rick. There is zero chance of having a reasoned argument or discussion with him without this happening. Some people are just that way. Wear it as a badge of honor. His home page says he has nothing to prove but his name calling and rude remarks say otherwise. Typical keyboard bravery.

The clock is ticking and it sounds like the bank account is nearing empty. I don’t think Newt should get out yet, but if Rick takes Michigan and does well in the South, I think it will be time.
Five serious candidates want the job. As a member of the board of directors of the Michigan branch, I choose from.
The current failure. Obama.
Mitt Romney. A guy who tries to be everything to everyone and inspired the failure. He's out.
Ron Paul. I like him, but voting for him would help Romney.
Newt Gingrich. Good Newt and Bad Newt. Good Newt can be really good and bad Newt is awful. Global Warming is also a dealbreaker issue with me, and he was on the coach with Pelosi. His cheating on his past wives casts doubts on his word. Is he lying about what he's going to do as president? That's my concern. Maybe he's been good this time. That's between him and Calista. Forgiveness is one thing. Trusting him with CEO is another. I have voted for a cheater before when he's kept his word to voters on every other issue. On it's own, it's a black mark, but not a dealbreaker with me. In addition, he's not competing in my state. Ok. I'm not going to waste my vote.
Santorum - Pro-life. Pro-2nd Amendment. Voted against Nafta (a good thing). Voted for the balanced budgets, but also the bad ones. Polling the best against Romney. Competing in my state. Worked his way up from a working class background compared to Romney. Santorum is who he is and I know what to expect from him.
I would have actually voted for Perry if he was still in, but he's out. I know he endorsed Newt, but politician endorsements mean little with me.
I don’t believe that there is much of any difference in the way the discussion was carried out by either side on this thread from the standpoint of “personal attacks”.
ARG is Republican and had Santorum up by 6.
