The End of the Constitution
Fox News ^ | 2/10/2012 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

Is America sliding toward autocratic rule? This is the essential question of Barack Obama's presidency. Mr. Obama vowed to "fundamentally transform" the United States. Despite his incompetence and economic failure, the president is making good on his central promise: the destruction of our constitutional republic. He is trying - piece by painful piece - to reverse the legacy of the Founding Fathers. Conservatives have underestimated him at their peril. For Mr. Obama is not simply an inept, liberal president in the mold of Jimmy Carter. He is an ideological revolutionary who seeks to sweep away traditional America.

One of the best articles I've read in regards to what this nation has faced over last 4 years with this administration.

The truely scary part is that his approval is still around 50%.

In the end, I still think the greatest threat to our nation and our inividual liberties is the media.

If the media would do its job and tell the truth about what Obama was doing instead of sugar coating everything that goes on, then the American people would have a better handle on the situation. If the media had properly investigated Obama he would have never been elected in the first place.

The media appointed Obama after appointing our last Repulican candidate and now they are about to appoint our next candidate for us as well, to ensure that regardless of who we vote for, they get the candidate THEY want.

The single greatest threat to out great nation is the American media.....by far.

Marxist Obama will be crushed like a bug in 2012. The tea party sweep of 2010 was just a warm-up call for the tea party landslide coming up in November!!

We are the resistance!!

Rebellion is on!!

I can see November from my house!!

Even when I read about, and some of it right here on FR, "if so-and-so is the nominee I'm sitting it out"?

"The truely scary part is that his approval is still around 50%"

I just do not believe it is that high.
I am not sure how they conduct the polls. If I got a call from a pollster I would probably lie and say I loved ZERO just to throw the poll off.
I doubt I will ever receive one or I may have already been called. If the number doesn't show on my caller ID I either don't answer or pick up the phone and put it down so I can waste the telemarketers time.

I pray that you are right! That a man can sit in the pews of a Church where the Pastor "Damns" America for twenty years, and still get elected President in contemporary America, certainly calls for something dramatic.

The damage that the media has done to our perceptions of what is right--what idealistic, what acceptable;--certainly calls for an effective resistance!

Again, my prayer is that your view of November is realized.

The constitution is no barrier on these people.
They’ll do what they want to do unless and until

SOMEONE ACTUALLY STOPS THEM.

And I’m with you about the media.
If a peaceful solution to this leftist tyranny is prevented by the media, then a not-so-peaceful solution will be inevitable, and they will be among those decorating lampposts along the way.

If that's the case, then those that sit it out might as well just vote for Obama. It's the same thing.

Well, if progressive Romney is the one he’s not much different from Obama, so we’ll be concentrating our fire on sweeping the senate. I for one will never vote for the man who pushed a marxist healthcare system on his constituents and who still brags about it today and is planning a national healthcare task force to push RomneyCare-like healthcare systems in all 50 states and call them states rights issues. No thank you!!

Nor will I ever vote for the man who said abortion should be safe and legal in America and that Roe v Wade is settled law and should be preserved and sustained!!

FUMR!!

With regard to this lates threat, focus on the fact that this is not about the Trojan Horses of "women's health" or "contraception."

It's not even limited to the principle of religious liberty or freedom of speech.

It is about an unconstitutional assumption of power over rights which "the People" withheld from the purview of the government they structured through their Constitution. If this arrogation of power to the Executive is allowed to stand in this case, then all of "the People's" rights are at risk.

Inasmuch as their Constitution allowed no power to infringe on any specified right in the First Amendment, then the person who assumes such a power also does not possess a power to "compromise," or "accomodate."

May I suggest that readers of this thread read Leonard Read's "Anything That's Peaceful," which can be read online, and share this wonderful and easy-to-read book with as many people as you can. The book itself can be ordered from FEE.

Not only does Read provide insight into the ideas of liberty versus those of tyranny (as in socialism), but his Chapter 5, entitled, "How Socialism Harms the Individual" is especially enlightening for any who may not see what is happening in America in its proper context, as pertains to the individuals involved.

In Chapter 5, under the heading "The Authoritarian," he begins by stating, "Of the threee classifications of persons involved in social leveling by compulsion, the authoritarian--the one who administers the taking and the giving--has been too little diagnosed." When you read it, you will see the nature of the man before us today. This section of Chapter 5 paints a portrait most Americans will recognize.

An extra bonus of this wonderful book is that it contains Read's famous essay, "I, Pencil." Copies should be placed in every school library and in every home school setting.

Many of us here on FR did know... and we warned as loudly as we could and to anyone that would listen. Look at what mccain said about him being a fine man and that Americans had nothing to fear from an obama presidency. We have called him a unsurping, kenyan, fagot marxist that hates America and whose power is derived from the prince of darkness... but even on FR we have evildoers that make excuses for obama... just like mccain did.

“One of the best articles I’ve read in regards to what this nation has faced over last 4 years with this administration. “

And here’s what I don’t understand. Even if Romney is the nominee, he’s still better than Obama. Yet, many freepers act as though Romney is worse. Romney doesn’t want to dismantle the constitution. Romney doesn’t hate America. Romney’s biggest fault, and it’s a huge fault, is he just wants to BE president. I don’t think Romney has a plan or a passion, he just wants his name on the door.

Ok, so imagine Romney is the nomminee. We could survive Romney, we will NOT survive 4 more years of Obama.

"The truely scary part is that his approval is still around 50%"

All I can figure, or maybe just want to believe, regarding Obo's "high" polling numbers is that the people that voted for the loser, still don't want to be considered racist (particularly in their own heads)!

That said, no one with a brain in their head would 'pull the lever" for this guy, once in privacy of voting booth, at least not the number he's "polling" positive at...IMO

Nope.
At BEST its going to be a nail biter.
We hit the tipping point - there are more “entitled” than there are producers.
Then you have the big business types who want the Federale’s help “pulling up the ladder” and curtailing any future competition.
Obama has ACORN, Unions, Illegal Aliens, the parasite class, various corporations, and the entire MSM on his side.
We (probably) have Romney. Whoopee.

Nope. With Newt or Santorum it’s going to be Reagan vs Carter all over again.
