President Barack Obama unveiled his budget proposal at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Va., Monday morning, saying, “The main idea in the budget in this: At a time when our economy is growing and creating jobs at a faster clip, we’ve got to do everything in our power to keep this recovery on track." He said his proposals would “invest in the things that will help grow our economy right now. We can’t cut back on those things that are important for us to grow. We can’t just cut our way into growth. We can cut back on the

Yes, if we cut the Obamaloon, his West Wing Clown Show of Felon/Cretins, Nancy Bimbosi, and that Zombie leader of the senate from all contact with this country, we can succeed in weeks, perhaps even minutes.

Fire the b*stards and b*tches.

see Calvin Coolidge

Coolidge's taxation policy was that of his Secretary of the Treasury, Andrew Mellon: taxes should be lower and fewer people should have to pay them.[113] Congress agreed, and the taxes were reduced in Coolidge's term.[113] In addition to these tax cuts, Coolidge proposed reductions in federal expenditures and retiring some of the federal debt.[113] Coolidge's ideas were shared by the Republicans in Congress, and in 1924 Congress passed the Revenue Act of 1924, which reduced income tax rates and eliminated all income taxation for some two million people.[113] They reduced taxes again by passing the Revenue Acts of 1926 and 1928, all the while continuing to keep spending down so as to reduce the overall federal debt.[114] By 1927, only the richest 2% of taxpayers paid any federal income tax.[114] Although federal spending remained flat during Coolidge's administration, allowing one-fourth of the federal debt to be retired, state and local governments saw considerable growth, surpassing the federal budget in 1927.[115]

I have the answer to the economic problem.

We should go break every window we can find.
Just imagine the economic activity that would follow with all the people being employed to replace all those windows.

See? I’m JUST AS SMART AS 0BAMA!

Obama needs to just go away. He is too harmful to leave until the election. Hopefully the Democrats realize this.

The White House announced plans on Monday to help “Arab Spring” countries swept by revolutions with more than $800 million in economic aid, while maintaining U.S. military aid to Egypt.

In his annual budget message to Congress, President Barack Obama asked that military aid to Egypt be kept at the level of recent years — $1.3 billion — despite a crisis triggered by an Egyptian probe targeting American democracy activists.

The proposals are part of Obama’s budget request for fiscal year 2013, which begins October 1. His requests need the approval of Congress, where some lawmakers want to cut overseas spending to address U.S. budget shortfalls and are particularly angry at Egypt.

Well, Mr. President, you could at least spend no more than last year. That would be a start.

The only reason for Obama to leave peacefully ,if there is a job waiting for him ,paying millions and where he never has to show up.

““The main idea in the budget in this: At a time when our economy is growing and creating jobs at a faster clip, we’ve got to do everything in our power to keep this recovery on track.””

Why? Without the taxes now, the economy is growing. Just leave it the heck alone? Wonder why no one asked that question?

Question for our benevolent leader:

When the government takes a dollar from one part of the economy and spends it in another part of the economy, how exactly does that create growth?

From the propaganda piece, Obama says: "We can cut back on the things that we don’t need, ..."

By definition, things we don't need are things we shouldn't be spending money on.  So, don't "cut back", cut OUT of the budget entirely.

Our budget (if we ever get back to the constitutionally mandated congressional responsibility) should be divided into three groups:

1. Needs-must fall within constitutionally mandated functions.  Further, one of the needs will always be reducing the national debt before declaring any money will be made available to category #2.

2. Wants-Anything that is not in category #1, and if it to be funded at all, it is funded via block grants to States;

3. Desires-Always funded at $0.  Leave fulfillment of desires to the individual citizens and/or private sector and leave government out of it altogether.

Then, we allocate available revenues to #1 first and if there is any money left over, consider #2.  Category #3 is for Greece and other EU countries, so it will always be $0 here.  Since we will probably never have any money left over, category #2 will remain at $0 as well until such time as the national debt is erased.

This would require a national discussion to make sure we don't allow the Left to redefine our "wants" as "needs".

Wishful thinking and a bit simplistic, I know.  But it's sometimes fun to think of what "could be".

If cutting spending is bad for economies, as Obama claims, why did global stock markets rise almost universally today and by significant percentages in response to the news that Greece had finally adopted an austerity budget?

And if raising taxes is good for economies, as Obama also claims, why didn’t the European nations paying billions to Greece in bail-out money demand that Greece raise its taxes to cover its debts?

Why is Barack Obama the only person in the world who still thinks taxing and spending is the road to prosperity when it’s proven instead to be the road to doom?

I he believes we can spend ourselves into solvency (which didn't work) why can't he believe that.
Nothing wrong with culling unproductive and counter-productive federal programs.
They have no problems culling babies, why not departments?

The truth is that there is no recovery... obama needs the lie to be elected and the media will support that lie in a effort to reelect him. If he is defeated, the press will blame the republican President and the republican Congress and Senate and if he wins... they will blame Bush and the Republicans and Ronald Reagan and absolve obama of all guilt. The press will NEVER deviate from the play list.
