BuzzFeed ^ | 2/13/12 | Rosie Gray

Newt Gingrich has a bevy of young female supporters at NYU, a school widely seen as one of the most liberal in the country.

The tipster who leaked the photos of "Newt Gingrich Sleepover" to NYU Local told BuzzFeed that they came from the Facebook of the president of the NYU College Republicans. The sleepover happened about a week ago and looks to have been well-attended.

I figure BO will turn into a true dictator over the next few months and really turn off most Americans—even liberals. The nastiness of the left will be just awful. They will never be able to hide who they are again after this.

You know what? In all of the talk about Newt’s “baggage,” there has never been any charge of assault, domestic abuse, rape, interns, non payment of child support, under age girls, alcohol or drug abuse, might add, no gay lovers or other women coming out of the woodwork. Yes he has been married three times. The first marriage to his 26 year old hs teacher when he was 19 and a child by twenty. YET, he excelled, graduating from college, worked and continued his education. He conservatively served ths country in many ways, has written over twenty books, been speaker of the house. Not to mention two daughters tat love him and grandchildren. So give it a rest, he has accomplished more in
his lifetime than Santorum and Romney combined.

I’d say if the person isn’t consequential politically, best to chill out and focus on the cute.

OK, I won’t continue this.

My remark to you referencing David Brock was out of line - sorry about that.

They sure are, very encouraging to see SOME young people that understand and support Newt. Good for them.

Maybe they actually READ Newt's detailed plan specifying the things he proposes to do to get this country in the right direction again -- things like making English the offical language of the U.S government, getting rid of the capital gains and the death taxes, allowing health insurance to be sold across state lines and letting regular folks get the same tax write-offs for it that employers get (so folks don't stick with jobs they hate just becuase they fear losing their health insurance), fighting carbon cap-and-trade laws, getting rid of onerous regulation that smothers small business start-ups and gives big corporations such huge advantages that it can never pencil out for smaller businesses ONLY because of unneccessary regulatory costs they're too small to absorb, etc., etc. etc.

My guess is that about 99.9 percent of the folks opposing Newt are afraid to educate themselves about what he proposes to do in Washington because then they'd have to admit that he's far and away the best guy running.

"with his lying sneaking little tartlet as First lady."

lol!

When they got together, Mrs Santorum, then Karen Garver, was a 22-year-old nursing student while Allen was a 63-year-old divorcé and father of six.

There has never been any charge like that against Santorum either - including that he's ever been unfaithful to his wife - but that has never stopped for even a second the vicious hate and smear tactics I have seen on FR from the same crowd who would not accept anyone but Palin until they would not except anyone but Cain and now will not accept anybody but Newt even though it is painfully obvious to anyone with the slightest whiff of a brain that Newt will never be popular enough to be elected president of the United States. If you hate the baggage that is constantly brought up about Newt, there's only one person to blame for that - Newt. I'm sorry but that's just the reality. Newt was a great conservative last century. This century, he's not that much different than any of the other candidates still standing - they're all deeply flawed. Deal with it.

Newt and his divorces has not affected me personally. However, Santorum preventing a legitimate trial in the Senate to toss out of office that gutter snipe Clinton sure did have an impact upon my young children.

You want to bash Newt for his sins, well I consider the betrayal of this nation to be a far greater sin.

I don’t think of it as self-righteous to expect someone not to cheat on their wife.

You're absolutely right. They refuse to be educated. Some even claim superior psychological insight, not based upon knowledge or facts, but upon skewed perception. They, of course, prefer the 'holier than thou' candidate.

I think of it as "none of your business" when someone does cheat on a spouse, unless that someone is YOUR spouse. I've been on this earth long enough to know the truth and wisdom in the Golden Rule of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you -- and that includes minding your own business with regard to things in your friends, family, and neighbors' personal lives you have no way of understanding fully, as you would have your family, friends, and neighbors mind their own business with regard to things in YOUR personal life they have no way of understanding fully.

If you're going to reject Gingrich, at least have a decent reason for it and not base it on some personal marital ugliness of 20 years ago which, by all appearances, the man has repented and amended, and the responsibility for which, by all appearances, was at least equally shared by a particularly nasty, spiteful woman he was young and stupid enough to marry.
