A left-wing freebie newspaper in Toronto, called NOW magazine, has published a photoshopped picture of the conservative mayor, Rob Ford, pointing a gun to his head.
This from a magazine that claims to be against guns and gun violence.
NOW magazine is unimportant to most people, but there is an important point buried amidst its smut: Liberals dont mind promiscuous suggestions of gun crime, if its someone they hate in the crosshairs.
Its like when the movie, Death of a President, came to the Toronto International Film Festival. It wasnt about a historical assassination. It was a Hollywood liberal fantasy of George W. Bush, then the sitting president, being murdered.
Could you imagine if a conservative made a movie about the assassination of Obama? It would never have been produced; no one would have agreed to be associated with it; no actors would have played in it; no studios would have distributed it; no film festival would have screened it. No critics would have praised it.
Death of a President actually won six film awards, including the International Critics Prize at the Toronto festival, and another at the Banff festival.
Gun control? No. Hollywood doesnt mind when its a Republican being murdered. They love Che Guevara and Mao. They even wear T-shirts of those mass murderers.
But the same violent crowd tries to tie any murders that they dont like to conservatives who use gun-like language or imagery. Take the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. A clinically insane man named Jared Loughner burst forth at a town hall-style meeting with her constituents, guns blazing. He killed six people and injured 13, including Giffords.
He was crazy. He was schizophrenic. He had been kicked out of school after five incidents involving campus police.
He wasnt political or right wing or left wing. He was just nuts. He believed in mind control, and something he called lucid dreaming that everything in real life was just a dream, so you could kill anyone and it was just pretend.
But liberal media had made a decision: That this was the fault of conservatives. Because conservative politicians use military language, like all politicians do. The word campaign is a military term. So is the term war room. For years, a popular debate show was called Crossfire. Politicians target certain voters. Thats all metaphor. We all know that. But the liberal media couldnt help but hang this around the necks of the people they hate because Sarah Palin once used a campaign map with targets on it.
It was a blood libel against her by the very same people who had applauded the Death of a President movie. By the very same people who find the NOW magazine picture so amusing.
Liberals dont find guns offensive. If they did, theyd hate Castro and Mao and Lenin and Chavez and Ahmadinejad. They wouldnt have made a snuff movie about Bush, let alone given it six awards.
No. Liberals only find guns offensive when theyre owned by law-abiding citizens who want to go duck hunting, or protect themselves from crime.
And liberals dont mind dramatizing and fantasizing about gun crimes or even suicide, as long as its a conservative such as Rob Ford whos in the crosshairs.
Ezra nails it again!
bump very true.
They also don’t hate guns when they are used to slaughter millions in a Communist revolution.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?
The fact is that all leftists (who understand their ideology/socialist/Marxist,etc) are godless—they worship Satan and have no qualms about doing any demeaning act-—or destroying other human beings. They rejoice in the power they feel. They feel “important” and they have such a low self esteem filled with anger and hate—they need that feeling of meaning in their pathetic lives.
All history shows that when these immoral people get in mobs—they do the most inhumane things-—mostly to do with excretion and mutilation. They have no conscience although they preach earth goddess type utopianism.
“No. Liberals only find guns offensive when theyre owned by law-abiding citizens who want to go duck hunting, or protect themselves from crime.”
I know even democrats who have guns for home protection and hunting.
I think these liberals and “progressives” (re: communists) find guns most offensive when they’re owned by libertarian and/or conservative citizens who may end up using them to protect themselves, their families and communities from tyranny.
Thanks for the ping, Squawk 8888.
Easiest way to shut up an anti-gunner is to ask them if they would dial 911 if their family was under home invasion.
Even if they start spinning after that, it’s trivial to reel them in and nail them with their hypocrisy.
Liberals are sh!t.
I just finished a poorly written book by a guy by the name of Dan O’Brien which was basically liberal kills Republican death porn, guns included. The man even owns a business selling buffalo meat, and then goes out and writes a crap novel like that alienating a good portion of his clientele. I guess he figures that libs will suffice.
“He wasnt political or right wing or left wing. He was just nuts”
False. He was politically left wing. I recall Jared as a regular on a political message board. Many times I’ve locked horns against him in a political debate. He used his real first name for his user name and his avatar was a picture of himself with a full head of hair. He was in the left of every issue. After his massacre, the board owners scrubbed every bit of evidence he was ever there as best they could.
He got one thing wrong. He said that Gifford’s assailant was neither Right nor Left. In truth, as his friends confirmed, he was a very left-wing nut. (redundant I know)
The map was annotated surveyer markers, not (sic) targets or crosshairs.
Yipes- I caught claims close to this but not so stark!
How long did it take this blog to do so?
As a peripheral viewer, it was clear Phoenix players rushed into cover mode. Did you follow mother’s ( ex city councilor, right?) relation to cops such numerous visits, the five major complaints at that school came to naught excepting only he got ejected from school.
It wasn’t a blog. It was a message board. How long it took, I can’t exactly recall. Maybe around 2-3 days after the shooting.
