Please revisit all the liberals who called Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" effort urging conservatives to vote for Hillary Clinton "undemocratic" and worse. Because Daily Kos blog boss Markos Moulitsas announced on Wednesday "Operation Hilarity," urging liberals to turn out and vote for Rick Santorum to "keep the GOP clown show going!"
"Rush Limbaugh and his ilk have had no problem meddling in our own contests. And if there's one thing Daily Kos is about, it's about fighting fire with fire," he wrote. "And in any case, it's freaking hilarious. I mean, Rick Santorum? Really? The Republicans have offered up this big, slow, juicy softball. Let's have fun whacking the heck out of it." They're even raising funds for Facebook ads. He writes:
It's time for us to take an active role in the GOP nomination process. That's right, it's time for those of us who live in open primary and caucus states—Michigan, North Dakota, Vermont and Tennessee in the next three weeks—to head out and cast a vote for Rick Santorum.
Why would we do such a crazy thing? Lots of great reasons!
Republican turnout has sucked, and appears to be getting worse by the contest. Unlike the 2008 Democratic primaries, which helped President Barack Obama and the Democrats to build a national organization, the GOP is an organizational disaster, with waning voter interest. That means that it takes fewer votes to have an impact than if Republican turnout was maxed out.
Several of the contests have produced razor-thin margins of victory. Rick Santorum won Iowa by 34 votes, Mitt Romney "won" Maine by 194 votes. It won't take many of us to swing contests the way we want them to swing.
The longer this GOP primary drags on, the better the numbers for Team Blue. Not only is President Barack Obama rising in comparison to the clowns in the GOP field, but GOP intensity is down—which would have repercussions all the way down the ballot.
The longer this thing drags out, the more unpopular the Republican presidential pretenders become. Just look at Mitt Romney's trajectory, which followed Herman Cain's trajectory, and Newt Gingrich's trajectory, and Michelle Bachmann's trajectory, and so on.
Rick Santorum will inevitably follow the same path once he gets properly vetted. Mitt Romney has been unable to stem the bleeding despite his tens of millions. Just imagine Santorum, with the far more radical record and a continued inability to raise real money.
It's a no-brainer! The following states have completely open contests coming up: 2/28: Michigan (Primary) 3/6: North Dakota (caucus) 3/6: Tennessee (primary) 3/6: Vermont (primary)
If you live in one of those states, pledge to participate in Operation Hilarity by voting or caucusing for Rick Santorum.

Yes, they are. A few more Santorum wins could kill off Romney which is just what we are hoping for. Liberals think a man of upstanding faith and family values will be easy to defeat. I believe he will be the hardest to defeat. God raises up the meek to make the proud look foolish and it just might be that this is one more way to push Santorum's candidacy across the finish line. Then it comes down to "who do you trust to fix our economy and protect our freedoms - Santorum or the guy who has been an abject failure the past four years? The hateful Left will always be opposed to the moral man because they are inwardly shamed by him. So they will lash out with all manner of vile crudeness. But God sees and He controls. And the Kosmonauts are playing right into His hands.

Not true, at least officially. Republicans had their own contests to worry about in Iowa. Rush's announcement of Operation Chaos didn't happen until just before primaries in states like Pennsylvania and Texas after McCain had blitzed through South Carolina and Florida to appear to sew up the GOP nomination.
IIRC, Hillary won Iowa and a few early states but not by the dominant margins she was expected to and Obama's campaign didn't really take off until later when Ted Kennedy endorsed Obama, putting the whole weight of the Kennedy wing of the party up against the Clinton wing of the party.

For those of you in Rio Linda - Operation Chaos sought to extend the Democrat primary after it looked like 0bama was going to walk away with it- by encouraging Republicans in open primary States to vote for HILLARY.
So far nobody has yet proffered a reasonable scenario whereby this would have made the nomination of 0bama more likely.

That describes Jimmy Carter way back when and describes Romney, Sarah, both Presidents Bush and even President Kennedy, until after he died and we found out about all his dalliencies.
It seems the press use to not report on the affairs of our leaders.
I remember Gary Hart denying having an affair after a reporter asked him. He said, "If you don't believe me, follow me. I am faithful to my wife."
They followed him and even got pictures. Ruined his chances. He was forced to drop out.

Exactly so, and you can still find transcripts on his website admonishing his listeners to be part of Operation Chaos and vote for HILLARY.
Maybe what we're seeing here today is why Operation Chaos failed. It appears that, even outside of Rio Linda, some people thought Operation Chaos meant they were supposed to vote for Obama. :-)

Yep. I can tell you what happened in Texas anyway.
It’s called the Texas Two-Step. Voters vote in the primary and then after the polls close that night at 7:00 pm, they caucus with their party to commit delegates for presidential preference.
McCain had the nominatioy locked up by March 2008 when Texans voted, so Rush encouraged us to vote for Hillary against Obama.
When I voted, about one in four standing in line asked the poll workers if they could vote Democrat in the primary without affecting their Republican “registration.” I voted for Hillary and stayed to caucus with the Dems. It was chaos there were so many people.
The caucus workers were allowing people to enter the caucus who did not have their registration card stamped as having voted Democrat; telling caucus attendees not to fill out their presidential preference on sign-in sheets and then writing in Obama for them when they turned away; sending home those who were there to caucus for Hillary by telling them that their presidential preference had been counted by registering such on the sign-in sheets. All of that resulted in Obama having a far larger presidential preference count than Hillary and in his attendees staying to caucus and most of Hillary’s leaving. Delegate count is determined by the presidential preference on the sign-in sheets. So while Hillary won the actual primary, Obama stole the delegates by fraud.
Long story short, I was one of the few people there for Hillary who stayed until it was time to elect delegates. I was elected as a delegate because I was present. There weren’t enough of us to fill out a complete slate of delegates and alternates. I went on to caucus for Hillary at the Senatorial District caucus and witness even more blatant corruption and fraud. I filed an affidavit with the Clinton campaign twice - once for the precinct caucus fraud and then for the district.
So, in Texas anyway, Operation Chaos didn’t matter because Republicans didn’t know they were supposed to caucus after the primary and those who did were sent home early thinking their presidential preference had been counted.
Santorum is still not my first choice for GOP nominee (Newt is) but if Rick does get the nod I believe he can beat Obama.
It will be up to the conservative grassroots to make it so and we will need all hands on deck.
If you are planning on helping the commies and the perverts then please make that clear to everyone here as soon as the general election starts.
Me too! Santorum could continue to catch on. Anything could happen.
I know the fix is in as far as the establishment Republicans are concerned. But if I were a liberal I’d be afraid to have more people hear Santorum’s ideas. Much of the electorate could end up agreeing with him on things.
