Newt Gingrich Town Hall at ORU, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Newt Gingrich ^ | February 20, 2012 | Newt Gingrich

Posted on 02/20/2012 8:16:02 PM PST by James Thomas

A woman who called in to Levin tonight tipped me off to this speech Newt gave today. He reportedly drew 4,000 people, as many as Santorum did in the same venue. The video runs 67 minutes, with the Speaker starting around 6:30. As usual, he does a superb job, blending his stump speech with new ideas and commentary on recent news. Students asked questions for the last 20 or so minutes. There are many standing ovations, but the biggest concerns a Chevy Volt and a gun rack. Go Newt.

The Conservatives who don’t prefer Mister NOOT are being unduly influenced by the BS of the establishment Republicans, the democrats, and/or the mainstream media, which are all the same in the bitter end. Mister NOOT is the one with the plan, from day (1), one, to save America. Do me a favor, support NOOT.

This photo from a OK television website shows that Mabee Center was filled up for Gingrich's speech which means that he easily doubled the attendance compared to Santorum.

Thought you might appreciate this:

The Washington establishment “power structure” dares not allow real conservative change!
‘Connected &questionable publications like Wall Street Journal, the new Nat. Review and American Spectator join in.
TAKE THE TIME Gingrich lays it out: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/cpac-2012-republican-candidates-speak-on-day-2/2012/02/09/gIQAzjDh3Q_blog.html?wprss=rss_politics
Gingrich went into detail about his plans for his first few days in office. Much of his remarks came from his standard stump speech; unlike Romney and Santorum, he did not tailor his words much to the audience. Santorum will echo. Hannity, Limbaugh, and Levin will ignore.

Everybody! wants to audit the Fed.

Everybody knows; when Gingrich got into this war to help the people get this country back, that his only weapons were reason, ideas, and conservative message.
Romney drew first blood in Iowa and Newt was forced to return in kind (at least for a while) or die.
Romney keeps the lies coming and as Gingrich is excoriated for defending,
the cross-hairs move to include Santorum,...
while people are paid to events and every poll.
Romney Ads in Fla. – 13,000! to Gingrich and others’ 3 hundred, and still got only a third of the vote. GOP bosses are using up their “beat-Obama” money just to keep ‘business as usual’.
Their only message is trashing the other candidates. - no other goal.

*THIS IS WHAT we (The People) THINK:
Three offer nothing, promise nothing; wishing only still to remain, to be shooo-ed in at the end
by default, as the last man standing, at Obama’s ‘final demise’.
Not Good Enough!
*Gingrich will do what needs to be done. We see no friends, no special interest, and we see No Fear!
Limbaugh said the Newt is “Intellectually muscle-bound”.
That’s funny, but even to his own political endangerment, He’s Done it before!
He is the enemy of ALL our enemies.
THAT’S WHAT WE WANT!
No booming voice and he looks like the Pop-n-Fresh doughboy, but he’s fierce. True grit?
He’s the MAN!!
HERE’S WHY:
Romney says - he “really is” conservative.
Santorum says- it’s “all about everything” that “it’s all about”...???
Gingrich says - what he will do!.

Gingrich defends-He is trashed for whining..Santorum whines-He is praised for defending
What’s up with that???
People need to know.
*Like Trump, Romney’s history is one of preservation of only his own political capital.
*Gingrich has the fire and a history of risking it all, delivers on promises, promises to
save our butts AND dismantle a lot of the “self-serving permanent” Washington political class to boot!
and he ‘gets it’ regarding our ‘place’ on the whole world stage.
*Santorum was one of our Reps then Senate’s “new” guys’ that breached Gingrich’s “Contract with America”,
fell to consorting with the Dem/Gov. party and wallowed in the establishment’s business as usual.
Pretending now it was you, me, and other conservatives that lost their way.
Usurping others’ image, purpose, message, and faking endorsement—self promoting earmark-king,
a work in progress, say anything, try-again politician.
With a hollow record of accomplishment, zero leadership experience, whining demeanor, and loser’s aura in the wake of getting trounced by 19 pts last time out (as an incumbent!)...
Irritates the hell out of me.
(Still here because nobody bothered to even look at him, let alone slander. Like Obama, another messianic
‘blank slate’ allowing people to wish what they want to see)
Reluctant ‘Romney-supporters’ malleable second choice?
*Imagine a neighbor - who just wants to get ahead.
He borrows, buys a mansion, and now he’s under water like the rest of us.
If he had in his heart, he saved a builder’s 20% by doing some of the construction and contracting the rest himself. He can call himself a homebuilder- job provider.
*Imagine another neighbor - If he has the cash,
who buys the mansion that’s struggling (at a discount), fires the help, strips it, sells the doors,
windows, all the appliances, cabinets, fixtures, dozes the house to the ground, sells the lot
to the highest bidder, and skips town. He can call himself Romney - an equity speculator.
The do-little easiest kind of “business” there is.
*And another - just looking to grab that little ole’ brass RING!

The first -— Created jobs, a product, and helped to grow the community.
The second -— Just made himself some money.
The third-— Has a ring.
Gingrich and Reagan Video Goes Viral. See It Now!
..Loser two out of three?....While WE count our blessings, not everybody’s born lucky at ‘Love’.
..Ethics stuff was crap too! .... IRS totally exonerated Gingrich long ago.
Newt voluntarily pays one fine for a technicality.
..Peddling means offering something for money - never happened!
http://youtu.be/VVEgn_FIZuQ —nobody? remembers
..Gingrich too, was dumb-suckered to the “warming scam” like Romney, even SARAH!, and millions more of us.
He will admit it before he’s President.
Santorum is yet to grow horns, detach himself from growing gov’t, welfare, Dept.of Ed, etc. have some plans,
promise them believably, finish his oj-training, and learn to lead.
He will better than Romney, at least, manage our decay, but we need a man we know,
who can put a stop! to it, and who will dare to repair!!
Gingrich knows 1what, 2why, 3when, 4where, and 5 how. He will get right to work.
We will see it first day! He will turn this ship around, and he will surely add to his list of enemies,
America’s enemies!
It will be fun to watch !!!
The Wash-estab, both parties, inside traders, C-Span, nearly every talking head,
and all the major Media, are freaked !
Romney would probably try to make a few changes too, but only if “the inside elite” will allow.
Favoring shared personal power sources, Business as usual, our Crony “capitalists”,
already established concerns, BIG-est business, a few multi nat. corps, their own support’s biggest contributors, banks, and just “some other day” for the low-income and middle class,
Making it even more difficult for new and small business( jobs ) to grow. -——
We will also hear this and more every day in November!
from Obama and all his help out of Hollywood and the Lame-stream.
THIS IS SERIOUS. Self interest and the Washington elite - Everybody FIGHTING change needs Romney.
We need reform.

All of America will benefit. WE WANT CHANGE!!
Say NO to Romney
We gotta go GINGRICH, NOW!.

I don’t know why a Volt couldn’t be fitted with a gun rack, even though anyone weird enough to be the owner of one certainly wouldn’t want it.

4,000? I just read that the auditorium holds 11,000 and it was full. That crowd is wayyyyy more than 4,000 people.

Great Picture! I hope it was 11,000 instead of 4,000 but I will take 4,000. Newt's going to surprise everyone because they're sick of Romney already and are beginning to get nauseated by Santorum!! I know I am. I don't want either one of them and I sure don't want Ron Paul. Newt is soon to become the new leader, I believe!

GO NEWT GO!!!!!!

I was driving today and heard Newt being interviewed — well-— I _think_ it was Sean Hannity interviewing him - and I heard something about the Volt and the gun rack. I really enjoyed that part! That was _great_!

I was at both the Santorum and Gingrich townhalls. In both, we sat 3-5 rows from the top. The crowd at the Santorum townhall looked slightly larger than Gingrich’s. At Santorum’s event every row in front of us was within 1-2 seats of being full. They weren’t that close to full at today’s event. It was a big crowd, with lots of young people, but I noticed that there were a lot who didn’t clap or give any sign of agreement with Gingrich.

I watched this all - a stunning speech - but dropped a line to newt.org about one thing he said.

He used the phrase “human capital” - it is a pet peeve of mine, people are not capital, so I suggested he replaces it with citizens in future.

As I just posted on another thread:

You know we have 3 supposedly viable candidates: Newt who was the 2nd most powerful person in the country as Speaker of the House. He has the leadership experience and the track record to get things done. He also has laid out specific plans. Then we have Mitt, who does have executive experience and leadership, albeit not the kind we are wanting. Then we have nice guy Rick, who has no executive experience and was Jr Senator for 14 years with no stellar record of running anything! So on what basis does anyone think at this point that Rick, the nice guy, can run this country, given the dire straits we are in? Let him be VP under Newt if need be, but why in the heck would anyone want him in charge during these times.. It would be like on the job training, which in a good economy, might be OK, but not now!

I completely agree.

Also, with Newt we have a chance at wining against Obama.

Even with Obama’s record, he will make Santorum look like an idiot and Obama will get 4 more years to finish us off.

It was excellent.

Near the end (2nd to last question, I believe) a student (pres. of the campus dems) asks him about the “food-stamp” president comment and he gives a wonderful critique of the county’s state of affairs and Obama.

He also answers a question from a student about his “personal” history, and he gives an answer that is soundly applauded.

Gingrich gives a long deconstruct of how Obama is the most dangerous president and the state of our national security.

It is an excellent speech and great Q&A.

It *was* a “full crowd” for the space allowed. A little more than half the auditorium was roped off. It was hard to find a seat without going into the upper seat. There were slightly more seats available in the upper areas than there were with Santorum. That’s all.
