Hillary Clinton dons lime green shirt for G20 'family photo' while everyone else wears white

It is the fear of every party guest: turning up in an outfit not suited to the dress code.

And unfortunately for Hillary Clinton, her slip up was witnessed by top government officials from across the globe.

Wearing a lime green shirt, the Secretary of State was placed in the middle of the foreign ministers - all dressed in crisp white shirts - for a G20 'family photo' in Los Cabos, Mexico.

But rather than adding a red face to the fashion faux pas, Clinton appeared to be tickled by her choice of outfit, laughing with her fellow leaders as the photographer snapped away.

And perhaps Clinton's colourful choice was intended to make an impact for the special occasion: she is in Mexico for the first G20 Ministers of Foreign Affairs informal meeting.

The gathering is an opportunity for the U.S. and other G20 members to discuss how to boost sustainable development, food security and the international economy, among other issues.

'This visit is an opportunity to reinforce close relations among nations and to identify common objectives and strategies to address global challenges and ensure global prosperity,' the Department of State said.

Unfortunately, Clinton's wardrobe choice meant she looked far from 'at one' with her international counterparts.

I bought an avocado a couple days ago, and when I cut into it I discovered it was rotten. It was the same color as this shirt.

My grandmother used to test her urine for diabetes back in the early 60’s and that was the color that said you had way too much sugar in your system. I think it was called olive green.

I concur. So the point is that everybody has to be the same or you get ridiculed like in grade school?

I think the point is that the color is full blown, pedal to the metal garish at that particular occasion.
According to my wife, I have no color or fashion sense what so ever, but even I know that's full loaded bad.

It shows that we are a very unique and great country and we don’t follow ANYBODY.

Would that that were her reason.

What is it about modern portraits that makes everybody have to wear matching unisex outfits (e.g. same t-short or polo, color, Huckabe stripes, or whatever). It makes everybody look like a barbershop quartet. Only the Lost in Space Rodinson family could get away with it.

That Huckabee photo always pegs the cringe-o-meter. Oh yeah, vertical stripes are slimming. And why is Mrs. Huckabee choking the dog?

They are missing their train conductor hats. All aboard at Dysfunction Junction.

What was this thread about? Oh, Hillary's chartreuse blouse. I suspect that someone intentionally withheld a dress code memo. Gee I can't imagine why....

What a humiliation! Secretary Hillary looks out of place. Maybe the photo can be "repaired" with photo shop. All of the white shirts can be made lime green.

I feel embarrassed for the United States!

Now see - that there waving thing is guaranteed to partially block faces - - -

Lately someone has thought when world dignitaries assemble, they should have this juvenile wave for the cameras.

Of course, they’re waving to us, the rest of the world, reassuring us that everything is okay - they have only good intentions. . .
