In that kind of fake, phony humility Romney has always said "whoever the nominee is."

Santorum is rambling and tripping over his talking points.

Seems like the questions are aimed at getting the candidates to attack Santorum. They’re treating Romney with kid gloves.

This debate is tracking just like the last one. Nothing important ever discussed. CNN is very careful not to ask anything that might embarrass the dear leader.

Correction, 100 US senators, not 50. But minor slip.

Santorum is struggling a bit, to be frank (probably the butterflies with so much at stake, I saw it with Bachman, Perry, Cain and Newt when one or the other of them were temporarily ahead, but he will get wound up and fire in the belly by the time the debate gets into full force. I think he is going to tear Paul a new one, enough to get the Paulbots in the audience booing. Praying for a major Bishop Romney slip of the tongue. He is such a pre-programmed, boring, slick robot...somebody, any of the other three, needs to trip him up!

Newt should sarcastically ask John King if he wants to talk about his ex-wife again?

She's just using Code Words meaning John King has been coached, rehearsed and ready to insert himself into this debate with a personal vendetta.

Newt is talking DIRECTLY to the people. John King asks the Questions. Newt answers them specifically to the American people.

The reason John King was pummeled in the last debate, is because he had rehearsed his walk across the stage with lighting and camera angles to ask Newt the first question about his Ex-Wife.

John King is an Actor, he isn't asking Newt about his Ex-Wife, he isn't charging at him with an opening sentence like he did at the last debate.

John King's rehearsal to react differently than he did before will never be seen. As the only reason Newt reacted that way is because John King literally walked forward to Newt as he was asking a very disgusting question. And Newt nailed him with a cheering crowd. It was a beautiful thing to watch. That scene will never repeat itself. Liberals are so stupid.

Criticisms of Ron Paul notwithstanding, ya gotta admit if it weren’t for his zany statements and stunning remarks, these debates would be hella boring.

I can’t stand Mitt’s speech pattern ... he always sounds slightly hysterical (and I don’t mean funny)

Newt’s first answer was sharp and focused. He didn’t take the bait. I hope this debate is very good for him.

It’s the same trick they play on the Sunday shows.

“Mitt, tell us why you’re great...”
“Newt, you’ve been accused of being an evil, fat troll. How do you defend that?”
“Rick, given those absurd comments you made yesterday, how can you possibly stay in this race?”
“Ron, say something nice about Mitt.”
