LIVE DEBATE THREAD (Is it too early to start?)
That's for sure, especially a Newt/Sarah ticket.
—I like both too but Santorum is not backing down. Any of the others who have been the frontrunner has backed down during the attacks.-—
He’s holding up under a withering attack, and then returning fire. The stacked Romney audience is obvious.
Awsome, Newt just brought back up the fact that Obama is the most dangerous president regarding national security ever. I love it! King must be too afraid to have brought that up so far.
I need a tv that mutes when Paul speaks.
Discouraging night. Combining a poor performance tonight with the MSM proctologists focusing on him, Santorum seems finished very suddenly. The problem now is that, barring some catastrophe, none of the men on that stage can beat Obama. Newt might fare the best but it seems clear the Republicans don’t want him.
I hope you’re right. He certainly seems more dignified. the squabbling between Santorum and Romney is irritating and Ron Paul needs to be in a home. A locked facility.
I’m just frustrated because he’s not allowed to talk.
They’re there nutmeg but frankly he hasn’t said much that warrants applause. As you can tell, I dislike him and I suspect his numbers will show how badly he did come tomorrow by those less bias.
CHEERFUL was pretty darn smart. I caught the entire audience off guard, and in no way could you call it cliche’.
correcting a typo
and Newt’s answer shows his mastery of debate!
He told King & CNN it was a stupid question and did it in a way that won him applause and good will. Not the result King & CNN wanted!
Your choices are Romney and Paul. Good luck voting in Virginia.
Many issues of vital importance to me, and on which Obama is highly vulnerable, WERE NOT BROUGHT UP TONIGHT. Surprise. Not. CNN IS RUNNING THE DAMNABLE THING.
LOL.... excellent picture!
Newt knows the enemy (CNN for example) and he knows exactly how to counter their agenda.
It’s ridiculous. Someone should call CNN out. No gas prices. No debt or deficit. No unemployment.
I bitterly resign myself to the idea we are going to be stuck with Romney as the nominee, then I watch the debate and wonder how in the world people cant see we need Newt?
You just summarized Newt’s entire campaign strategy for the primary and the general.
There will be PLENTY of time for Newt to smack down Bammer on the 16 trillion, once they debate one-on-one.
Newt answers Iran question first ... so the others can take notes.

President Newt Gingrich—”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less.”
This is wrong. While Romney has stacked the audience again and Zero will attempt to do the same, Newt STILL gets even more applause over Romney.
Now if a CNN reporter follows Romney into the crowd, everyone needs to ignore it. Because it’s staged.
[ King: that was a good exercise [the one-worders]
No, it fell flat, John. ]
definitely. The only thng I got from that is that someone needs to teach Santorum the difference between an adjective and a noun.
Those bloomers could temporarily blind him. LOL.
Paul is loveable BUT seems like an ostrich looking for sand to bury his head in....no wars NEVAH!
Newt just called Dempsy out!
We need a person to shake up Washington.. not just get along! That person is Newt! Not Ricky!
lol. I was just watching Mitt....he studies Newt carefully during Newt’s answers....so he can figure out what to say from that. Newt is sooooo smart.
Without question, Newt is head and shoulders above the rest.
Anyway, there is a news cyle, and debates are generally forgotten within 48 hours. The ground game on Tuesday will be the most important thing at this point.
The old “I agree with Newt”...
Great ticket but Calista sitting next to R. Perry in the crowd tonight....hhhmmmmm.
We have a rouge govt. in charge. They do whatever they want whenever they want and our side seems oblivious to it except for Newt! Whenever he gets the chance newt nails the regime as he should.
The problem is having the debates on CNN. They’re never going to talk about issues of real substance. Once again, we’re back to the campagin trail. It’ll have to be done there, because the media is not going to give any Republican nominee a chance at substance in any debate with Obama.
You got that Red Roll running south from Rutherford Cty earlier.
Why oh why, do Mitt and RuPaul never have a bad word to say about each other? Seriously... what gives?
Santorum.........rambling...........blabbering..........dualistic as usual.
I mute when Santorum and Mitt go longer than 30 secs. Both ramble way too much.
It is grossly irresponsible on the part of CNN.
Newt’s energy speech
You didn’t read that article that explained that Ron Paul was in the tank for Romney?
Tonight is a disaster.
Santorum had an opportunity to knock Romney out. Instead, he debates like he’s on the Senate floor. I had settled on Santorum, but was mistaken.
Newt I fear is to far behind to take advantage of a solid performance tonight.
For the first time in three years, I actually believe Obama can be reelected. God save the USA.
Once again, we have to chose the lesser of two evils. Romney VS Obama.
I think Rick has hurt himself tonight. He is not presidential. Imo. Romney, me too and copies Newt.
“Blue Bell Strawberry Cream ice cream with no sugar and low fat.”
You creep.... luv ya, but you’re still a creep. ,;>)
Mitt’s trying to sound like a CIC and Santo’s dozing off..
Sorry but after going through this week’s buzz saw on contraceptives, Satan, etc....the man stands for convictions and I don’t believe he’d stick a finger up to see which way the wind blows...no way.
Yeah for sure its a shame Paul absorbs so much air time.
Reportedly they’re pals. Uncle Nutty would be proud to have his son, Rand, serve as VP for Romney, reportedly. One never knows what angles Myth is working to bring in Paul bots, but Rand Paul for VP would be motivate Ron Paul and Romney to tread lightly on one another.
Some issues not discussed tonight:
Our insane national debt, increased 50% by Obama in four years
Obama’s takeover of auto industry
Obama’s bailout of Wall Street and the banks
Obama’s unconstitutional power grabs
Obama’s attempt to crush religious freedom
Obama’s dismantling of our nuclear arsenal
Obama’s canceling the Keystone pipeline and destroying jobs
