Since Santorum was speaking in a non-political, religious event, what is the problem? Nowhere does he say he wants Congress to do anything, in the parts I have seen.

Based on his speeches I would also say Ron Paul self medicates generously.

Santorum was an invited politican speaking at the opening of a Catholic school about politics as well as religion when he made his “Satan is attacking the great institutions of America” remarks. Besides, whether it is the rantings of Reverend Wright or Rick Santorum from a pulpit, people are responssible for what they say wherever they say it.

Santorum has openly declared a Spiritual War against sensuality (i.e sex for anything but procreation). Do you doubt that he will do everything he can as President to fight that war?

You may want to stop thinking up new empty insults long enough to think about the implications of Santorum's Spiritual War remarks. How do you think a man of "courage" like Santorum would fight his Spiritual War if he were the Commander in Chief? How do you think he is going to launch his attack on sensuality?

I am not going to get into whether Santorum is a big government politician, because they are ALL big government politicians, including your pick, Ron Paul:

Ron Paul: Earmarks (Fiscal Year 2008)

But if you dare say that there is not a coordinated evil effort at destroying our institutions, you have had your head in the sand. From just the last 24 hours:

he has never said he would

its a stretch only a fool can make to try to make that into the basis of his presidency

you need to take a course on debating and focus on the rules of argumentation

and if he did, it would far less damaging than ron paul’s wackjob theories

Yes, I doubt that Santorum will do anything but open a dialogue about extra-marital sex and the degradation of the culture.

As Santorum has said, those are personal beliefs and there is just too many other priorities to pursue these personal beliefs.

I do think that he would work to get the federal government out of the public schools, which would be a step in the direction of cultural reform.

Karl Rove said on Hannity, earlier this week, that every quarter that gas at the pump increases, $16 billion comes out of the economy.

Do you realize that Santorum was speaking to a Catholic University, not some town hall?

Santorum is not the one who is intent on making the election about sex. It is Romney and the left wing press, who are focused on sex because they think it hurts Santorum.

I hear that Santorum is up in Michigan today, after Romney’s full out attack and tag team performance.

So I take it that you never consider the implications of a candidate's remarks.

Santorum has said that Satan is using sensuality to attack American institutions. He has defined sensuality as sex without any attempt to procreate. He has stated that he is involved in a Spiritial War to fight Satan. He has said that states have a right to ban birth control.

Does none of that bother you? Do you think anywhere near a majority of American voters will ever support a man who has declared a Spiritual War against sensuality and talked about a state's right to ban birth control at a time when a horrible economy is giving them somewhat more immediate issues to worry about?

Please show me where in the Constitution the states are given the “right” (Santorum’s word) to outlaw birth control?

Nah, but the University of Phoenix probably does.

I hear that there are Mormon bill boards all over Mesa, AZ, a city with a very high percentage of Mormon residents.

You did know that the University of Phoenix is a Mormon owned company, right?

I didn’t see the whole debate, but what I noticed is that when there was a question on foreign policy, with an opportunity for Santorum to change the subject, the moderator went to Mitt or Newt first and then changed the question slightly for Santorum to put him back on the defensive, even on foreign policy or immigration. For instance the question on immigration changed for Santorum to, “You’ve said in the past that you would hold employers to the use of e-verify, would you also hold individuals who hire housekeepers or landscape workers to the same standards?

The whole debate was rigged to keep Santorum on the defense and not give him a chance to respond with any positive proposals on any subject.

Thanks for making it even more impossible for Ron Paul to be the Republican nominee. I do appreciate it, since I believe he is a self-serving, ambitious old coot.

You just admitted that you would vote for Barack Obama under certain circumstances. Thank you. You've proved my point that socialist conservatives do not really believe in small government but rather their own brand of big government.

I would never vote for Obama for any office no matter who was running against him as the Republican nominee. You are apparently the kind of Republican who supported GW Bush as he went along with the big spending Democrats to impose a horrendous burden on our grandchildren in exchange for their support for his pet war in Iraq.

No, nothing he said bothers me. YOU bother me - and your creepy, freaky candidate. You know - the one with the melting eyebrows and nose and the weird hands that were constantly getting into poor Santorum’s face last night. And let’s not even get into the horrible facial tics.

He’s a racist, a bigot, an America-hater and a lunatic. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!
