Florida legislators are under attack from a terrorist front group for considering a bill aimed at banning the application of Sharia law—the authoritarian doctrine that inspires Islamists and their jihadism—from courtrooms throughout the state.
Though it really targets Sharia, the measure seeks to prohibit the application of any foreign law, code or system in legal cases, especially in family court. It was introduced after a state appeals court allowed a county judge in central Florida to consider “ecclesiastical Islamic law” to decide a civil case involving a mosque.
As a Florida state House committee considers the bill this week, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a national organization that serves as the U.S. front for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, is blasting it as an attempt to “demonize Islam and marginalize Muslims.” If the measure passes it will also restrict religious freedom, according to CAIR.
A few years ago CAIR pressured a south Florida county’s transit agency to drop bus advertisements considered by the group to be “misleading and bigoted” against Muslims. CAIR asserted that the ads created a campaign of hatred and intolerance because they gave the false impression that Muslims are “trapped” in their religion with no means of “escape,” thus facing certain death.
CAIR bills itself as a Muslim civil rights organization but top FBI counter terrorism chiefs describe it as an entity that promotes and finances terrorism. One group has dedicated itself to documenting CAIR’s extensive terrorist ties which include a top official sentenced to 20 years in prison for participating in a network of militant jihadists, another convicted of bank fraud for financing a major terrorist group, a board member who was a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and a fundraiser identified by the U.S. Treasury Department for financing Al Qaida.
Getting back to Sharia law, accomplished military, terrorism and national security experts have long asserted that terrorists are covertly using it as a non-violent way to destroy the United States. Some, including former CIA Director Jim Woolsey, appeared in a Washington D.C. seminar ( The Sharia Challenge in the West ) last year at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
A foreign policy specialist who has worked for both Democratic and Republican administrations, Woolsey defines Sharia as a “theocratic dictatorship extremely opposed to democracy” and a movement to “eliminate and destroy western civilization.” He warns that the biggest challenge in fighting it is America’s long tradition of tolerance towards all religions.
I have several words for the proponents of Sharia law.... but I enjoy FR and don’t want to get a time out.

We don’t use Napoleonic Code (except La.). or Scottish Law either (except Arlen Spector).
One thing is for certain, there was no Moslem (as it used to be known) influence. People who choose to live here just need to get used to that.
This is AMERICA - not the middle east - and Sharia law has ABSOLUTELY NO authority HERE. If these people want Sharia law — then return to the middle east and have your Sharia authoritarian laws there...

I keep telling people to remember what Obama told the Egyptian ambassador in January of 2010 - that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda, but that the Muslim world should be patient with him since he had to get Obamacare passed before he could move on to the Muslim agenda.
The agenda that all Muslims agree on is the destruction of the US and Israel, and worldwide sharia.
Obama has lived up to what he told the Egyptian ambassador. In fact, everything he and his Soros-puppet administration have done have pushed those 2 goals of Islam. Heck, according to the ruling by the Iraq-war-vet-turned-Muslim judge in Pennsylvania, the Muslims who killed our 2 soldiers in Afghanistan would be justified even by American law - because they just wanted the mockery of their very essence (Islam) to stop - and as we all know, the very existence of infidels is a mockery of Islam.
That’s the gist of the ruling by a Pennsylvania judge who dismissed a case where both the atheist plaintiff and the Muslim defendant agreed that the Muslim had attacked the atheist for wearing a zombie Mohammad costume. The judge ruled that if the attack was really intended to “harass” the atheist it would have caused more of an outcry (than the witnesses they already had, which the judge ignored) - so it wasn’t really harassment or assault; it was just a Muslim like himself being deeply offended at the ridicule of his very essence (Islam) and trying to get the mockery to stop.

Sharia law should be banned throughout the United States and it’s terratories.It is UN-American and it has no place in western civilization.
Will the courts now follow precedent and allow other church law to supercede and be offered in court? We going to let canon law have the same equal footing?
This is insane. Judges are pc lib idiots that have no idea of what islam is all about, if they allow this.
Christian or canon law does not contradict the vast majority of law in our country and in rare cases like faith healing churches where members won't seek medical attention to save their children's lives states are legislating to make it a crime, just as the states should.
Sharia is simply incompatible with Western legal systems, because it reverses or terminates most of the rights that citizens enjoy in our countries.
Sharia treats people differently, e.g. women are inferior to men, non-muslims are inferior to muslims, lay people are inferior to Islamic religious leaders, etc. So much for equality before the law, the basis of all Western law.
Islam and its leaders also cannot be criticized under Sharia - so goodbye freedom of speech.
And on it goes.
Simply incompatible.
