Newt owns Piers Morgan over 'Koran' apology
THE rightscoop ^ | February 24, 2012 | Newt Gingrich

Posted on 02/25/2012 9:40:47 AM PST by James Thomas

Newt really handled himself well on Piers Morgan tonight, taking on the Obama administration for their one sided view of the Muslim world with respect to their apologies over the Koran burning. Piers Morgan approached all of his questions from the perspective that Obama has handled the situation well, only to have Newt hit back hard over how it should have been handled.

This is excellent:

TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; Politics/Elections

I never thought I could like anyone less than Larry King for leftist parroting but Piers Morgan proved me wrong.

My understanding is that CNN is part of the Time Warner conglomerate (I think) but is it actually contributing to the profits of its giant parent? I can’t imagine that many people watch it with any degree of regularity. CNN has the most useless reporting I’ve ever seen which usually involves some idiotic anchor engaged in a lot of breast beating over some human tragedy of the day.

Since when could powder puff p-ssies become American Generals? That guy was pathetic. I wouldn’t follow him across the street, let alone into battle.

God bless our real soldiers, but that General is a weenie.

This really is excellent.

Newt alludes to the fact that our "allies" like Pakistan don't act like allies and that the region is spinning out of control. I'd say that is true and we should learn something from it.

I heard an interview with a Syrian official yesterday. He was doing the full "Baghdad Bob" routine -- the Syrian government hasn't killed anybody. Terrorists are killing children, not the government. Terrorists are killing journalists, not the government. The Syrian government was absolutely, positively 100% innocent of everything.

The NPR reporter was clearly not buying a bit of it. To say she was skeptical would be a gross understatement. Fine. I'm just as skeptical.

Turn that around: find some Middle Eastern spokesman who will say that Americans are torturing and killing people. Would the reporter believe it? Oh, you bet!

We need to learn that the Middle East does not value Truth and they are not going to deal with us in good faith on any issue.

I see two options: Leave the region entirely, or else go Medieval and beat them into Unconditional Surrender on all fronts.

This whole "partnership" thing really isn't working. Not for Bush. Not for Obama.

You’re right. I thought his exchange with Piers regarding $2.50/gallon gasoline and President Algae’s no-energy policy was as good, or better, than the exchange over the Koran. Good stuff!

Saw that last night. Piers Morgan was acting very snobbish toward Newt. Referred to everything Newt said as “Rhetoric”. First time I ever saw Piers cause I don't watch CNN, he's really a creep. Newt is such a better person than he is. It would be a miracle, but wouldn't it be wonderful if Newt won Michigan. I'd be so happy I would cry!

I saw an Army Major General salute with his left hand once. It was at a military funeral and his right arm was around his wife, when "Taps" started, he saluted with his left hand.

Who's gonna correct two stars?

In my opinion, having earned those two stars, gave him a little liberty to play loose with the rules. Obama has earned squat and shouldn't even be allowed to salute - same with phoney Bill Clinton.

I have zero respect for Øbozo, and I like a funny pic as well as anyone -- but I despise lying of any sort. That photo is a blatant lie: it was flipped horizontally before it was captioned. Use any photo-editing program to flip it, and you will see what I mean...

Look at all the rest of the folks rendering the civilian salute: If Øbozo is saluting with his left hand -- so are they!

If there is questionable behavior there, why is the dummy in uniform not saluting?

~~~~~~~~~~~
Nice try -- but it fell flat on its face...
Piers is just as stuck up on stupid on Islam and Obama as these extremists in Kabul.
This is the narcissist taking things personaly in action.
He has no shame for whatever he advocates or espouses, all he wants is to have the last word and cliche’, no matter the consequences to his own self.
We are surrounded by deranged fanatic retards incapable of any reasonable view on anything. Him vs. me is all they care about.
So, NPR is on the side of the Sunni Moslems in the conflict in Syria. The Christians are totally dependent for their survival on the Alawi ~ that's Bashar and his crow.
Been that way for a long time too. The Sunni Assad is killing in Homs are the descendants of the Sunni who moved in at the wrap up of WWI and drove out the Christians who'd lived there 1900 years ~ many of the survivors ended up as refugees in the United State.
Obviously none of the Sunni living there today had a thing to do with WWI but I guarantee they have the same negative attitude toward Christians that their grandfathers did.
Not that I'm encouraging anyone to kill them, but gee whiz guys, if NPR likes 'em, that's enough reason for that right there!
A good portion of the resentment to Newt is caused by the vitriolic attack on Santorum. I won’t bother to list all the names they call him, but Saint Santo, should be enough to get the drift.
I have not criticized Newt nor Santorum, because one of them has to survive to take Romney out and by proxie the E-Pubs. I have directed my snide remarks to those that attack Santorum because of his stand on social issues and his faith. Newt has the ability to defend his positions without the insults I see here.
Simple logic would dictate a united attack on Romney since it appears Ru Paul has made a deal with the devil, else why is he running attack adds in MI, when he isn’t running there.
It would behoove us to remember how we got McCain.
I like Ron Paul. Really, though, what I like are the restrictions that the laws of nature and the 10th amendment put around Article I, Section 8.
This year, Newt is the only candidate to which I have donated.
I was leaving this morning to get some groceries, and I received a toll-free call from Newt. I didn't recognize the number, so I sent it to voice mail.
The message indicated it was a conference call with Newt and other supporters.
I've added it to my contacts so the next time I can participate. I assume it'll be a recorded message, but I don't really know how fundraising works.
