For those out there loving the current Republican race but worrying that it has become somewhat orthodox in appearance and stable in candidates and support numbers, fear not: ABC News Jonathan Karl has the blind item for you. In the most mysterious and, for the GOP, worrisome dispatch on the Republican field in a while, Karl reports that a prominent Republican senator told him that the Party will not stand for a Mitt Romney loss in Michigan, and that he expects a result like that to lead the Senator to publicly call for the party to find a new candidate, likely former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

It’s hard to know who to hate without a scorecard.
I’d like the list of why Jeb Bush is so evil. Spare me the crap about his family, just the facts, ma’am. On Jeb.
And btw I think the whole discussion of Jeb Bush is pointless at this time.
I don't trust anything I hear or read from ABC Snooze.
Re: your Tag
So many mouthbreathing halfwits on this website have chastised me for condemning RINO candidates. “We need to support the RINOs so we can control the Senate/House.
I’ve actually had one moron state that “we need a candidate that is popular with the late night television hosts (Leno, Letterman, etc...).
I guess we’ve become an Idiocracy!
You nailed it. They are as slick as the dems. They are in fact the same.
We know the GOP-E are a bunch of low-brow ass kissers...but this woman is even below them.
The MSM know Obama is done, so they are trying to get as liberal an elephant as they can.
I just realized in looking at the picture of the Bushes and Obama that it appears that the elder Bush is sitting in a wheelchair.
This right here is the crux of the problem.
The "Party" is no longer the rank-and-file who make up the actual membership of the Party. The "Party" is now a small, incestuous group of out-of-touch RINO insiders who've probably spent more collective time inside the beltway than mankind has been on this earth.
The "Party" doesn't give a rip what the actual people who make up their power base think about anything.
I'm just a sick of the Republican base and a whole lot of so-called conservatives who are nothing more than ignorant dupes.
Thank God there is no Bob Dole Jr.
Doing what the Republicans do best- snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! Ready-Fire-Aim!
Jeb might be just fine, but it would be a dream ticket for Obama.
Meghan McCain will be the next POTUS.
Thanks, that helps me disbelieve this report.
...and John McCain.
That's "Stay out da Bushes!"
Correct. I believe I've seen the wheelchair in other contexts as well, within the last year or so. Not sure why, specifically.
That last sentence is a joke, right ? So far you think that the GOP establishment has been showing what kind of judgement ?
“This coward needs to show himself.”
He can’t. He knows that if he did he wouldn’t win his next primary.
Stay out da Bushes
There, I fixed it for you.
Whatever the question is after the MI primary, another Bush is not the answer. With some 300,000,000 people in this nation, surely we don’t need another Bush or Clinton or Kennedy...ever.
** President Newt Gingrich-”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less.”
But Donald Trump said he would run IF Romney loses Michigan and I have a bad feeling Mitt will win.
Who among us did not see in Jeb Bush’s statement that he is showing leg for the convention if necessary? You are right.
Personally, these candidates may have been, and may be now s.o.b.’s, in some form or fashion, but they are OUR s.o.b.’s.
For some pol who thinks he’s a prima dona and can just sweep in and do a number on the primary process I think not.
Where the heck were THEY when the flag was raised to begin this annihilating pathway to the nomination?
Where were THEY when the people cried out???
I will tell you where they were. THEY were ensconced in regret, plenty of income, whatever the source, contemplation and mostly supreme cowardice, topped off with bad polling numbers, and bent on avoiding getting any crushed glass under their finger nails, which is a certainty in a primary!
As Pacino said, it was gonna be “TOO DAMNED HARD”.
THEY would dare to sweep in with grins and high rhetoric and show leg, NOW?
These guys of ours, and WE THE PEOPLE, have been fighting off, tooth and nail, against the RINO Establishment and holding ground, holding off another RINO jerk, and these opportunist players would dare to THINK they can just walk in and execute those who stepped across the start line willing to sacrifice ALL, and from the beginning?
I don’t think so.
THEY can go blow all the smoke and pontificate all they want, but NO BODY gets to kill the troops now running just so THEY can take the battle and dance on their graves.
Who would do that? Who COULD do that? Talk about the pinnacle of sabotage.
WHO WOULD WE BE TO ALLOW IT? Sheesh.
Woe is them!
They would be better off with Ubama as President than a conservative.
Until the liberal RINOs are defeated, there will be no defeating the socialist Democrats. Right now the enemy to conservatism is the establishment GOP.
1st good reason I’ve seen to wish Romney well
You are right and it would not surprise me if Romney wins in Michigan. Who knows what he has going on behind the scenes.
This sounds like a threat.
I want everybody to kick up some noise!
I want to hear some revolution out there, brothers, I want to hear a little revolution!
Brothers and sisters, the time has come for each and every one of you to decide whether you are going to be the problem or you are going to be the solution! You must choose, brothers, you must choose!
It takes five seconds, five seconds of decision, five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet. It takes five seconds to realize that it's time to move! It's time to get down with it!
Brothers, it's time to testify and I want to know are you ready to testify? Are you ready?
They are the 'control' used when the D.C. folks realize the natives are getting restless. Sort of a "throw them a bone to distract them" group. They haven't (D.C. folks) gotten quite the lock up on power yet. We still have that pesky Constitution and those who believe in the principles behind it.
Watch for a pustch (intended) to shut down political discussion on the Internet, sponsored by both sides.
Banana Republic we are.
While I had less than a favorable opinion of George H.W. Bush, "Dubya" I believe history will ultimately be kind to.
Having said that, I don't think I could stand another Bush President. It's almost like having a British Monarchy at this point where a few highly connected political families run the country, and I just can't stand that thought.
If the Republican Party can't choose a good CONSERVATIVE candidate in the primaries, then they can count on my not voting in the Presidential race in November. (Note: I WILL vote in all other races.)
My guess is McAmnisty
Typical of the Bushes, to be smiling while America is not happy. Just couldn’t vote for another one.
Don't forget NAFTA, another gift that keeps on giving
Jeb wants open boarders a 3rd world nation and more money for diddy. They are the biggest con-artest in the history of America. That one family has presided over the biggest decline in American history as far as I’m concerned.Never vote for a Bush
I think this is a planted BS story from the Chicago thugs. Beware the disrupters.
Agree they are the worst American family ever. They laid the ground work for Clinton and Obama.
Kind of strange that they would put this info out right b4 the MI primary. Looks like they want the Newt and Rick voters to vote for Romney so they won’t have to deal with Jeb!
Call for him all you want, brave senator, ain’t voting for him either.
Probably right about that. It was reported he won Maine and Iowa in the media for several days only to find out he did not.
They aren't. They will try to draft Chris Christie. And he just might accept if they do.
