John McCain 'was urged to mount legal challenge to Barack Obama's presidential victory'
The London Telegraph ^ | February 27, 2012 | Raf Sanchez

The Republican presidential candidate was reportedly advised by aides to take the dramatic step of seeking an injunction to prevent the results in Ohio and Pennsylvania from being certified, a move that would have plunged the election night into chaos.

His campaign staff were said to have believed they had evidence of voter fraud in the two battleground states and could challenge the results in the court.

According to an analyst at Stratfor, the political intelligence company whose hacked emails are being published by WikiLeaks, Mr Mcain's staff were still pleading with him to take legal action in the moments before he appeared on stage in Arizona to deliver his concession speech.

The email claims that the 75-year-old Vietnam War hero judged that the scale of Mr Obama's victory was too great and believed the country would be damaged by a repeat of the contested 2000 election.

"McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence," the analyst wrote in a memo titled "Insight - McCain #5 ** internal use only - Pls do not forward".(continued)

John McCain wouldn't even attack Obama on policy. He certainly would never attack his eligibility. It is impossible to believe that John McCain would challenge the ostensible results producing the election of the first black president in American history.

Very true, he was born in Panama because his father was a military officer stationed in the Canal Zone. He is still an american citizen by birth.

That said, he is a POS, self-serving liberal. His service in VN as such is no more than others who served there. He was also not the only POW nor was he particularly more courageous than the other POWs. All of that is a point in time which does not give him a free pass for what spews from his mouth or the tratorous actions he’s taken since.

What knee jerk haters so many here have become. McCain made the correct decision for the country. And if the election was “stolen” the guilty parties were democrats, not McCain.

I don’t think deciding against throwing the country into chaos makes McCain a “traitor”.

He didn’t because there was an “under the table” agreement RE: his Panama situation, which was made early on, when McCain (capn Queeg) thought the Bamster had no chance at winning.

Essentially the smoke filled room decided that no issues of “legal” birth would be campaign issues (Panamanian, Hawaii, or Africa)

Yet another bonehead decision by McQueeg, the the RINOs

So we can’t beat him in 2012 either, because his people will riot?

“Um, Juan was born in Panama because his father, an American citizen, was stationed there. His mother was also an American citizen.”

Wrong as usual (about Juan). He is a dual citizen having been born in Colon Hospital, Colon, Republic of Panama.

Duals cannot become president.

I live here in Panama, so I know what is going on.

By the way, I am also dual.

McCain was urged to challenge the outcome of the election in couple of battleground states where widespread fraud was suspected.

But, it wouldn't changed the outcome of the election. The states in question didn't have enough electoral votes to make a difference.

This should surprise nobody....McBain would have used any excuse to hand the election to BoBo even if he had it in hand he would have found some reason to give it up. We saw that throughout the debates...he had so many opportunities to nail BoBo and didn't lift a finger to even try! He never planned on winning nor did he desire the Presidency.

I will never forget McBain handing it to BOBO with a smile on his face and basically giving the country his index finger while he did!!!!.....and any amount of military service he gave went out the window for me along time ago....that card doesn't play anymore.

That's exactly right Nathan....McCain holds hands with the likes of the Spector...he's a hair away from being a full fledged Democrate.

McCain voted earlier in the day, but probably saw this as an opportunity to vote TWICE for his candidate of choice. After all, the mantra of his real party is vote early and vote often.

I still can’t believe how McLame later got conservatives to endorse him for re-election in 2010.

Of course, I can understand Willard the Lib slobbering all over him.

BUT Arizona should have literally tossed him out of the U.S. Senate when they had their chance.
