The United States announced a diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea Wednesday.

Under an agreement reached in direct talks in Beijing last week, North Korea has agreed to allow the return of nuclear inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and has agreed to implement a moratorium on long-range missile tests, nuclear tests, and nuclear activities at Yongbyon, including uranium enrichment activities, the State Department said. In return, the United States will provide North Korea with a large food aid package.

Time for the new kid to try his hand at an old scam....nuke for food with the US. Must be Rush Week at the DPRK.

remains to be seen whether the North will keep its promises this time

Why is is that whenever democraps sit in the White Hut, the US foreign policy is to act like some abused spouse?

He only beats me because he loves me.......

He's going through a tough time right now......

It is my fault; he promised he won't do it again......

In return, the United States will provide North Korea with a large food aid package.

I hope Michelle O. inspects it first to ensure those North Koreans won't be eating too many calories or too much sodium.

Yeah, it worked so well before. Clinton had a chance to stop them from getting the bomb. Anyone remember what happened?

Here is a refresher:

So ahhh, let me get this straight. The deal will work like this:

1) North Korea will allow UN type inspectors who will inspect the cat-and-mouse NK nuclear program.

2) This will go on for years.

3) The United States will provide billions of food aid and other aid over the next multiple decades.

4) Absolutely no progress will ever be made with NK giving up or even reducing their nuclear program.

Have I left anything out? have we not seen this play over and over again?

Of course they'll let them inspect Yongbyon. They've moved everything to another site.

Suckers.

It's in the photo shop for updates....Lucy is now pulling a soccer ball away from an effeminate Franklin. (how I wish I was that good with photoshop; Frank?).

It's dejue-vue all over again. First they agree to stopping their weapons programs in exchange for food and fuel. then when the Summers comes and they've regained their strength they'll restart their programs. Been there done that.

Where have I heard this story, oh yeah, all the other times the norks sell the same garbage. They let in inspectors, the inspectors see only what the norks want them to see, and the West provides the norks with free food to prop up their gulag state. Then the norks kick the inspectors out, a new round of ‘negotiations’ follow and we repeat the exercise again.

This is NOT a trade. A trade infers BOTH sides get something. How about we TRADE the food for the actual NUCLEAR BOMBS?

The international politics version of a two year old in a grocery store. They want something, are told they can’t have it, throw a tantrum, then are bribed into behaving. It never seems to occur to our “smart” politicians that all they’re doing is encouraging more misbehavior.

And he promises not to fire off missiles until the next one..

This is like Lucy and the football.

This time the Norks will try to lock a long term deal in with the Kenyan giving away the store.
