Gingrich Says Republican Party ‘Just Doesn’t Get It’

ATLANTA — Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich spoke in front of a different kind of crowd Thursday — a crowd of more than 600 people, many of whom have personally known Gingrich and his career for years. He told them he was “counting on his many friends” in Georgia.

-snip-

...pressed him on his strategy and how...

“I have to win Georgia I think to be credible in the race,” Gingrich said.

He told the crowd his real challenge for the nomination is getting past the Republican Party establishment.

“My primary problem isn’t beating Obama. Beating Obama will be easy. Obama is a disaster,” Gingrich said. “He is an incompetent radical. You can’t be both. The country will tolerate an incompetent pleasant person or they will tolerate a radical but they aren’t going to tolerate someone who doesn’t get it. The Republican Party just doesn’t get it. That’s why I am running. ”

Gingrich quoted a Bible verse from Proverbs, “Without vision, the people parish,” as he insisted that the Republicans have failed to provide vision.

“For 14 years-let’s be clear-they tried managing big government. That’s not possible. And if Romney wins, he will discover it’s not possible. Because the fact is, big government is inherently antithetical to the entire Republican Party,” Gingrich said.

Gingrich took the opportunity at a chamber of commerce event to hit Rick Santorum, his threat in the southern states, and leveled attacks against Mitt Romney.

“I don’t think the other candidates in the end are particularly relevant. I mean, one of them may win because money matters but I don’t think they are relevant because they are just politics, they are just the same old baloney. One is Massachusetts’s moderate baloney, the other is Pennsylvania big labor baloney but they are baloney,” Gingrich said.

Kellyanne Conway by Fred, very cute FOX talking head political consultant type. The chick on the right is some kind of Iowa congresswoman or something. They probably stuck her back there so at first glance people might think it was Palin. Either that or it’s the only other endorsement from a woman Newt was able to get. Hard to do when even women who praised you immensely in writing just a couple years ago sell themselves out now to repeat empty Romney spin and lies about you:

One of those men earned himself a place in American history books as a revolutionary conservative who changed American politics and gave the United States Congress to the Republican party, something that generations of Americans did not even know was a possibility, that man clearly is more than just baloney.

I do know that, I was referring to three times Gingrich has used these "baloney" phrases. ;)

Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.

Make sure you look for some Kellyanne Conway clips on YouTube. Cute voice, Melanie Griffith-esque.
