Furious Retailer Pulls All Adverts From Rush Limbaugh's Show After Radio Host Suggests 'Slut' Student Should Make a SEX TAPE

Mattress retailer Sleep Train bows to community pressure on Twitter Conservative radio host slammed Georgetown University's Sandra Fluke 61-year-old said she's basically asking taxpayer to pay for her to have sex.

He criticised Fluke's claim of needing $1,000-a-year for contraception She said on Friday that his comments left her 'very upset and outraged'

MARK DUELL 2nd March 2012

Rush Limbaugh advertiser today revealed it will pull all adverts from his radio show after the host caused widespread outrage by branding a student a ‘slut’ for her views on contraception.

The 61-year-old made fun of her for saying religious institutions should cover birth control in health insurance - and said in a further show that she should have to make sex tapes if this ever happens.

Now mattress retailer Sleep Train, based in Rocklin, California, has bowed to pressure on Twitter and said it will no longer advertise on the show. Other advertisers are being called to do the same.

Rush Limbaugh, 61, left called Sandra Fluke, right, a student at Catholic college Georgetown University, a 'slut' for saying religious institutions should cover birth control under health insurance ‘We don't condone negative comments directed toward any group,’ a Sleep Train spokesman tweeted. ‘Thanks to all of you for your concern and input.’

Meanwhile advertiser ProFlowers said it will 're-evaluate’ its marketing plan and dating site eHarmony insisted it will look into ‘the matter of "network buys"’.

The host said Sandra Fluke, of Catholic college Georgetown University in Washington D.C., was promiscuous for saying woman should get the pill for medical reasons.

And he went even further on his next show, saying: 'If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and.....

Sounds like Sandra Fluke knows a thing or two about pulling a train...

Just saying.

Very ironic this advertiser sells mattresses and has train as part of it’s corporate identity. The best part about this is the people that called for the boycott and contacted them will never use this decision as a reason to actually buy and use their product. When will businesses learn, they’re only a tool for this sort of thing and will never see business increase as a result of this decision.

I would make far more money as an advertiser on Rush Limbaugh’s show as a sponsor than counting on the business that may be generated with good will from these “boycotters”.

If you want to piss off a conservative, lie to him.
If you want to piss off a liberal, tell the truth.

So...a mattress company pulls their advertising because Limbaugh made a disparaging remark about a frequent user of their product? Irony abounds....

Not a National Advertiser... probably a local advertiser on one station. Big whoop.

Maybe Sandra Fluke will start her own radio show with Sleep Train as advertiser?

Apparently she lied about her age. She said she was 23, but she is 30. And she is an activist whose main purpose in life is to push contraceptives. She was doing that BEFORE she went back to law school.

“contraception” isn’t the issue.

Defeating their primary impediment to power, the republican party, IS the issue.

THAT’S what this is about.

Here we are talking about sluts and a company named Sleep Train pulls out! LOL

Sometimes humor writes itself. Rush could care less.

Guess I won’t be buying a Sleep Train.

Pro Flowers. They sent my last order to the wrong address, forgot the box of candy, the flowers were wilted and they refused to make it right. Don’t waste your money with them.

I object to calling her a “women’s rights” advocate, when asking for someone else to pay for her contraception, it ceases to be a right. No one has a right to someone else’s money.

Sandra Fluke would make a good mattress demonstrator for the company.

After all she must have TONS of experience being on her back.

Gee, had anyone ever heard of ProFlowers before Rush and later Sean started advertising for them?

Nice way to bite the hand that gave you your biggest break ever. I’ll never use them.

Exactly, at obscene profit levels, too.

But boy, what an opportunity this outfit missed...

“Georgetown Sluts pull the train on a Sleep Train mattress!”

“Sleep Train, the official bed of the Georgetown Sluts”

“The pill is expensive but even Georgetown Sluts can afford a Sleep Train mattress”

As Glenn Beck would say, “watch what the other hand is doing.”

Conservatives fell into a trap laid by that criminal mastermind, Nancy Pelooney.

Your right. Rush has more advetisers waiting in the wings, than Ms. Flute has admirers.
