I just don’t see Romney like that.....I think we need intelligent businessmen in the WH to restore economy....He’s no where near what that devil is doing to this country......

Romney has a power-lust for the highest office. Romney has no concern over the cancer of Socialism that is being pushed at all levels of government.

Being a businessman is 100% irrelevant to the problem at hand. Most billionaire businessmen see government as a solution.

Romney sees government as the solution to "big" problems, as a positive force for good.

Unlike Romney, our Founders viewed government as a necessary EVIL.

Romney would do absolutely nothing to reduce the size or scope of government

We need someone in office who will view government as EVIL. We need someone in office who will vigorous lead the effort to roll back government and eliminate entire departments.

For our Republic to survive, large numbers of State, local and Federal Parasites must lose their taxpayer paid jobs.

It is astounding to me that people think that Mitt would be better than Obama. With either the endpoint is exactly the same -- a socialist hell. The only thing Mitt would do is delay the inevitable.

If we can't nominate true leaders who will slay big government, then maybe it's best to hope the system collapses soon. At least then we can start to rebuild a Constitutional Republic.

I attended a Tea Party meeting last night. Most everyone was resigned to the belief that the cardboard man would be the candidate. :

I cannot pull the lever for him as a former Mass resident I know what a Socialist Kabutz the State is and it pains me. I have things going on back their that If I explained the level of Bureaucracy I and others are dealing with it would border on fiction. Romney didn't stop it, if anything he added to it.

My Motus Operundi this time around is to send the EGOP my message which is this...

“As bad as it would be, believe it or not, there are worse things than four more years of Obama. Such as: “Conservatives” with absolutely no principles left.”

Haven’t we already had that for decades? So-called conservatives come to Washington, quickly get seduced by the power trip, and then abandon principles and become part of the system that provides them a good life. This creates a conflict of interest wherein their votes perpetuate their place in the DC machine.

Romney would get crushed. He’s establishment as it gets, and was their pick in 2008. His “business” was about moving around money. He’s shown no record of getting independent votes in the open primaries. He didn’t get them against McCain, nor against Santorum.

Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban

July 08, 2004

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns.

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts," Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1..."These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."

That’s ok Ted. No one can hit the target, bear or deer

know you need more practice.

"Mitt is the only candidate who is going to beat 0bama....Santorum doesn’t have a chance....Though not perfect, I feel good about him fixing the ecomony/gas and restoring America....And who knows, maybe it’ll be Romney/Rubio(:"

Would you care to explain how you think Romney could beat Obama when he said the other day that he will NOT attack Obama? Willard has NO CLUE of what we are up against...he's said it before, he thinks Obama is a nice guy who's misguided. And anyone who believes a word out of Willard's mouth is easily duped.

Someone needs to educate Nugent about Romney’s awful record on 2A issues. STAT!

Ted really needs to say why, despite Romney's well known anti 2nd Amendment stance, he is still endorsing him. Ted OWES us that answer.

Don’t threaten me....I can say what I want....And I’m not arguing......I’m just as worried as everyone else but I feel Romney is going to get the nominee and I’m not going to sit home and not vote for him.....It’s either him or 0bama.....

Mitt is the only candidate who is going to beat 0bama

Your lack of political acumen is only matched by your tone-deafness of posting crap like this on FreeRepublic, a conservative web-site.

Mitt has been unable to crack 40% this whole primary season, has spent millions of dollars attacking the other candidates, has staked out moderate positions.

His record as Governor of MA, a progressive liberal record, has been hardly talked about except on conservative websites because IF he becomes nominee, Obama and his crew the MSM, will play it 24/7 to completely demoralize the base and dampen turn-out.

This is why the MSM has done next to nothing on attacking Mitt: They know who will be the easiest to beat.

When the shooter happens to be the jackass in question, he may never get another chance to practice.

I agree with a lot of your points about government but the sad reality is that in this era of entitlements, a totally corrupt media, government largesse, and a dumbed down populace, the chances of electing true leaders who will slay big government is nil, at least until the big economic crash occurs. That event will re-orient everyone’s priorities overnight and get us on a path to sane government. In the meantime, the best we can do for now is to halt the decline and the erosion of our liberties.
