Sandra Fluke is Owed an Apology -- and so is Sarah Palin
yahoo ^ | 3/3/2012 | By Mark Whittington

Posted on 03/03/2012 12:19:48 PM PST by tobyhill

President Barack Obama was so touched by the travails of Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown University law student derided as a "slut" by radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, that he called her personally on the phone to offer comfort and encouragement, according to the Washington Post.

Fluke had been dragged into her 15 minutes of fame when she gave testimony to an unofficial congressional committee to complain about the high cost of birth control for students whose contraceptive needs were not covered by insurance at religiously affiliated schools. Limbaugh, making something of a stretch by suggesting Fluke was demanding other people pay her to have sex, called her that name. Later he doubled down and demanded that if other people were going to have to pay for Fluke's birth control, she should provide a sex tape.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

But Limbaugh has also, perhaps inadvertently, exposed the double standard practiced by Obama and the absolute hypocrisy of the president and other liberals. Limbaugh notes Obama campaign contributor Bill Maher has called Sarah Palin names so vile that they cannot be repeated. Will Obama return the $1 million Maher has given to a pro Obama super PAC? Will Obama and other people shocked at Limbaugh's crass behavior toward Fluke also demand an apology to Palin by Maher?

The sad truth is Obama and company do not care about Fluke or her reputation that has been called into question by Limbaugh. She is just a convenient tool to be used in the unending campaign to remake American society. Maher was given money and rhetoric to that cause, so he has bought himself a pass. Indeed his utter degradation of the lady from Wasilla serves that cause. It is a very sad situation.

Anyone have a list of all those. Seems there was one for Greta, Christine Odonnell, and someone else as well.

“Fluke had been dragged into her 15 minutes of fame...”

Uh huh, sure she was.

What Rush did was absolutely brilliant. He is showing the sheer hypocrisy of the left. I’ll see pigs fly before we see Obama return that 1 million bucks to Bill Maher. I remember when Jerry Brown called Meg Whitman a “Whore” that sleaze bag Gloria Allred said nothing except, well, agreeing with what he said. Liberals are being shown for exactly what they are, cockroaches(My apologies to roaches everywhere)

Obama said yesterday that he is going to buy a Volt after he leaves the presidency. He might want to stop off at the drug store after he picks it up to buy this woman a pack of rubbers. He can write it off as a charitable contribution.

Didn’t Letterman also say something about Palins underage daughter?

Well, it's a mostly good article, but it gives Fluke a ridiculous concession at the start.

Fluke had been dragged into her 15 minutes of fame when she gave testimony to an unofficial congressional committee to complain about the high cost of birth control for students whose contraceptive needs were not covered by insurance at religiously affiliated schools.

She was not DRAGGED into this dispute. She has been planning it for years, and the suggestion probably originated with her. She is a pro-abortion/contraception advocate, and she thinks the taxpayers should pay for both.

And in the second place, contraception is not expensive. A box of condoms is pretty cheap. And any self-respecting slut would make the man pay for it.

Does she also pay for dinner before going to bed with these guys? Maybe she wants that put on the free healthcare tab, too.

Yep, he made a “joke” about Willow Palin, age 16, being raped in the middle of Yankee Stadium by Alex Rodriguez..of course the left thought the “joke” was hysterically funny. Even Joyless Behar said “Hey its just a joke, he’s a comedian.” Letterman made a lame half ass apology saying he was referring to Bristol NOT Willow, yeah like that makes a difference. So Bristol was the one he wanted to be raped..so the left obviously has NO issue with rape.
Just like when Sandra Bernhard said during the 2008 election that if Sarah Palin ever went to New York she would get her “Black homies” to gang rape her, heard nothing but crickets from the media..so apparently according to Bernhard, black men are all a bunch of rapists. No outrage from the media there

Yeah, he said Alex Rodriguez knocked Willow up. She was 14 at the time.

lets not forget all the rat-wing politicians (including mullah obama himself) and political pundits that referred to many of us, including females, who proudly participate in the Tea Party as “tea baggers”....

The author is clueless. Fluke is a 30 year old lesbian who set this up as a way of manipulating conservatives and advancing her “reproductive rights” and feminist agenda.

Oh, so now, Palin is due an apology for what was said about her. Funny that.

Only problem is what was said about Palin was a lie, what was said about the slut Susan is a fact and true.

The left is losing this battle and proving it by bringing Palin into it and now ostensibly coming to her defense.

Forget being rational.

For a hundred years we've been talking, debating. About 50 years ago the left's idea of debating turned to screaming "Bigot!" "Nazi!" "Racist!"

No longer discussing the issues of the future of America the Left turned to making their opponents exclusively the issue.

I guess that's the influence of Alinsky.

It's what they do. It's how they've been "winning."

It became a kind of appalling dialectic -- with the Right attempting to escape the verbal assaults yielding 90 percent and the Left yielding at most 10 percent and the result is -- that the enemy within is close to putting an end to America the "shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere."

The Right only within the past 20 years started learning how to fight back in kind.

Rush IS NOT the issue. The enemies within tactics is the issue. I think David Horowitz put it this way "the issue is not the issue." The Left's "issues" are weapons.

Obama said yesterday that he is going to buy a Volt after he leaves the presidency.

Thats assuming he has a driver's license. I'd be willing to bet he doesn't have a legitimate one.

Sandra Fluke the Lefty Flake is not owed an apology. She is a fraud and deserves to be endlessly attacked. Sarah Palin, however, is being attacked because she is genuine and true and decent and moral. She is owed many, many apologies.
