I’m not a fan of Rush segues into these ads either, but they are doubtless effective.

Have to defend Rush though. Yes, he does have an ego roughly the size of his body but he also talks without guests for 3 hours every day (minus commercials).
He talks about everything and some people object to various things he talks about.
This fluke woman needed to be exposed and now she has been thanks to Rush.
I’ve posted before on this thread that it’s all about Obama. We can only save our nation if we get rid of this man who was sent either by Satan or an emissary thereof.
Catholics are not the only ones who worry about abortion. It’s a huge issue with me.
But Catholics are in this because Obama is trying to tell them what they can and can’t do regarding their faith.
This should be huge to people of all faiths. It is to me.

Actually altura I have been for both Rick and Newt. I will not work for Romney since he is going to lose anyway because he is going to throw us Conservatives including Rush under the bus. If that is the long term plan, what is the advantages.
I was as disappointed as anybody in Rush not showing courage of his convictions to pick one so we don’t end up with McDoleney.
You mentioned twitter and its use. Could you organize a thread on how it works and how to use it? It would be very helpful in this campaign season and would allow many of us to do something constructive from our computers.

I didn’t mean to sound attacking! I was just referring to the word “absurd” because IMO most if not all talkshow people includng Rush (who I started listening to when he was local in Sac) are really not touching many of the most important issues - or going in depth on them. Skirting the surface and so on. I apologize if I sounded as though I were attacking you or Fishtalk, cause I didn’t mean it that way.
I’m heartsick because our country is turning into something resembling the 3rd Reich and who is telling the truth about it? As it is? No beating aroudn the bush? Only small blogs and obscure websites are. The big “Conservative” voices are not, what to speak of the Rs. Breitbart was, and he is now gone. What “big dogs” will pick up the torch?

We’re good lj.....I just misunderstood. I think Rush IS talking about it. He got the whole country talking about the latest issue - obama/sebelius mandating what our companies/insurance must cover. (The flip side of those mandates is when they start mandating what our policies must NOT cover)...anyway, back on topic.....

This is the party that says they believe in freedom of choice. Really????? not when it comes to the contraception issue or just about any issue you can come up with.
Had to wait 30 minutes on hold to cancel Carbonite service. Lady at the other end sounded very tired and said “ you too huh?”.
Hope every Rush listener does the same.

I am sorry but I disagree. Rush didn’t go to the real problem with this woman - that she is a long-time leftist agitator who is 30 years old and enrolled in Georgetown for the purpose of bringing this issue to the forefront. He didn’t discuss religious freedom. He went straight to the “humor” of deciding that she was always having sex due to her estimate of the costs of birth control, and then called her a slut and prostitute.
This is no different than when the leftists ignore an issue and call us racists or homophobes or any other insult. It is not a good debate tactic.
Furthermore, it gave the left a sound bite to support their theme that the GOP hates women and wants to inspect everyone’s bedrooms. It is the same thing they did with the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, which was also a disaster.
Rush is not as clever as he thinks he is. We have spent all weekend listening to this story and it got covered on the Sunday shows instead of much more important things, all because Rush couldn’t keep his mouth shut. I will bet cash money that when the dems heard Rush they jumped for joy.
I can’t make anyone agree with me. But it is my opinion that if we do not understand how the dems set people up and count on idiotic statements like Rush made last week, we are going to lose.
