Statement from David Friend, CEO of Carbonite: "... Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show.

OK. He has outed himself.

David Friend may not know it yet, but his company is a "dead company walking". Good riddance to bad rubbish. I hope he loses a million customers.

Please, can we take the “all Rush all the time” comments and posts to the threads dedicated to him?

I am weary of the subject and still surprised that we continue to fall for these diversions with such passion.

Please....take Rush comments to any one of the fifty Rush threads.

Thanks.

War on Women vs War on Religious LIberty (Sandra Fluke/Rush “Rants”)

George Will - Criticizes Repub/ leaders for not coming down harder on Rush.

Peggy - What Rush said was rude, glad he apologized, but it was also destructive. It played into the war on women issue. It confused the larger issue that that is a religious freedom issue

Howard Dean - This IS a war on woman - Romney will have to live with this.

Brazile - last year, Repub’s tried to redefine rape. (???). legislators across the country are limitting women in the health care issues. what Rush did was over thje top.

Dowd thinks their is a myth around Rush. He really isn’t that powerful. The republican leaders don’t have the courage to say what they say in private. THey think Rush is a buffoon. They don’t take him seriously; he is a clown. In private they make fun of him.

I don’t know anything about back-up (which, based on the commercials I’ve heard on Rush, that’s what Carbonite offers), so I did a little search and found this (and, it appears to be free, but don’t know how it compares to Carbonite and other similars companies):

For Windows users, here’s info on backing up files (I wasn’t sure about the process, but you might be):

Microsoft also has a free online storage and sharing called SkyDrive:

I agree. What he said is the truth. He has been bullied into apologizing and fell into their trap. The Alinsky crowd has now succeeded in making Rush the target and the subject for discussion!

This is most unfortunate.

This is probably correct, Rush is probably the big loser on this one. Not that he won’t recover in due time.

Otherwise, I see it as having almost no impact come November—no one is gonna vote Demovik because of their position on free birth control who would not have voted that way anyway, had their been no Fluke.

It’s a distraction right now but so what? It’s too far out to matter where the elections are concerned.

FNS

Wallace says the panel, after the break, will discusss THE POLITICS OF BIRTH CONTROL.

[Dems needed an issue to deflect away from the poor job and economic numbers. They have managed to create one. George Stepphie set the trap in the January debate and the Republicans fell in, including Rush Limbaugh. It couldn’t have happened any better for the Dems if they had planned it. No wonder the Party of Stupid is expert at pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory. This race is theirs to lose and they are managing to do so.]

Rush and his comments are a big part of the news cycle this morning on the Sunday shows....one reason to discuss them.

he likes Mozy instead of Carbonite. They advertise with Hannity.

I wonder if they will now advertize on Rush and pick up all the former Carbonite business?

Well, I can bet I am not the only 20 yr listener that quit listening. If he won’t take a stand on who he is for in the biggest election of our lifetime, what’s the point?

The problem I had is he made a big joke when people were begging him to endorse someone, anyone. He thought it was funny, some don’t find the destruction of our country all that funny so we switched channels.

Pray for America

Mr. Pansy at Carbonite should know that linking his own duaghters to loose women at Georgetown Law can result in major losses to a competitor

I wonder how his daughters feel about him calling them sluts?... Or are they?

Dean - biggest problem is the 20 debates. The BC issue has sunk the republicans.

We'll see.

Anybody see Sheriff Arpaio's Press Conference? If not that is no surprise. The media have buried it. It was extremely revealing.

Here is a link to the Press Conference and the exhibits. Please don't miss this if you didn't see it. Felonies have been committed...

Morning AB, All….

Sang in church this morning. Choir director is back but suffering from new medication. He’s fine but in the thralls of adjustment.

As always, AB, thank you for doing this thread. I always enjoy being a part of the repartee.

Boy, last week was a doozy, huh? Got that fake woman testifying before congress, Rush apologizing to her….wants us to pay for her birth control pill.

It’s not like Rush to apologize like that. This is mostly because, as Rush so plainly says, and truthfully, he uses absurdity to illustrate absurdity. Calling Fluke a Slut, which he did not really do, was his way of being absurd.

He also said we should get to see the tapes of this woman for having to pay for her birth control. Of course that was also tongue in cheek. Liberals, being humorless, unhappy and angry people, don’t see through sarcasm and satire.

Way I figure, the Repubs asked Rush to issue that apology. It’s just not something he does is all, and I think there’s some reason, or force, behind it.

Here’s what I think. I think the pubs did some polling on the matter and I don’t think this big Dem issue of forcing health insurers to pay for birth control is resounding across the fruited plains.

And Fluke, as will be increasingly known in the coming weeks, is a setup. She’s a pawn of the administration and this whole silly argument was orchestrated by the Obama bunch.

I think the pubs want to move the issue of Fluke’s sex life off of the forefront and concentrate on the maneuvering to get birth control paid for by the taxpayers via Obamacare.

So once Rush apologizes there’s not much more to say so that’s why I think he did it.

Bearing in mind I’m right about as often as Dick Morris.

Looking forward to intelligent and insightful commentary as only can be found on Freerepubli

Buy stock in Mozy. This alternate off site back-up site will benefit immensely from the demise of Carbonite.

I had once thought of maybe switching from Mozy to Carbonite just because they advertised on RUSH.

No more. Buh bye Carbonite. Your company will suffer.

If you read ‘the apology’ carefully, Rush only apologized for his “choice of words”. It was an extremely narrow, VERY carefully worded apology. ElRushbo wrote that apology, not Rush Limbaugh.

Respectfully disagree. If we don't turn the conversation to substance--even if only among ourselves--then we accept every diversion that the opposition throws at us and may as well forfeit the November election now.

They create false issues with media support, pounce viciously on any questionable statements, and always force the Pubbies to tread water and, uh, er, eh, try to explain themselves. No offense on our side.

It doesn't matter what the actual issue is, that is the MO.

We should be discussing what WE can do about it.

For example, check out this thread Attack by Limbaugh Awakens a ‘Stop Rush’ Campaign.

The story goes on about a person who started a Twitter campaign called StopRush, which FReeper research (not the driveby media) discovered was owned by one Angelo Carusone, who via said mentioned Freeper Research, turns out to be a ‘Campaign Director’ for Media Matters!!!

Now here's my point:

Where is OUR campaign on Twitter?????

The FACT that Fluke is ACTUALLY a Left Wing Feminist Activist is not told by the driveby media. The FACT that the owner of the Twitter account is actually a Campaign Director of Media Matters is NOT told by the media. She is described as a "student", the StopRush guy is only that, and nothing more.

I'm SICK of it. We rag on how the Republicans DON'T fight back, but we--meaning you reading this--don't EITHER.

Are you on Twitter????

If so, reply to mediadecodernyt on Twitter (it is Brian Stelter, NYT reporter/blogger), who wrote the StopRush story above. Ask him why he calls Fluke a "student", without telling us she is also a femenist activist? Isn't THAT relevent to the story (answer, damn straight it is!)? Why keep that part out of the story UNLESS you are biased (answer - you ARE!)?

They create a Twitter account called StopRush and start hammering Limbaugh's sponsors? Where is OUR Twitter account to support Rush?

We don't DO social media like the dems, and we really, really NEED to start or WE WILL LOSE THIS ELECTION!!!

Complaining on Free Republic to FReepers ISN'T ENOUGH!!!

WE seriously need to start fighting back!

Reply to me. Tell me what you think of this. Who wants to join me on Twitter and elsewhere?

Enough, let's get off our backsides and DO SOMETHING!!!
