WASHINGTON (AP) -- Newt Gingrich says he has no doubts that the Republican presidential candidates who fall short of winning the nomination will unite behind the eventual nominee - despite the often tough rhetoric the contenders are throwing at each other during the campaign.

With all due respect, you need your eyes checked.

"The GOP-e appreciates your loyalty."

Do they really appreciate it, or just expect it? I suspect it is the latter.

We either stand together or we will all hang seperately.

Yes, that’s right, he won’t help them in the general. Maybe it’s not the VP slot that they made a deal about. Promising Paul Secretary of the Treasury or something of that nature probably would have been enough to explain the apparent coordination between the two camps.

As another FReeper posted a month or so ago, this is a Dem ad against Romney titled “Mitt v. Mitt.” He will be crushed if he makes it to the general election.

I truly believe more than ever that if we get Mitt as the nominee, we get Obama for 4 more years.

There is no way Mitt can Morph into anything that a true conservative can support. It is not in his DNA or character.

The reason we have been force fed with these “inevitable” candidates for so long is that we have allowed ourselves to be conditioned to swallow the sludge and pull the lever.

It’s about time we projectile hurled a few of these rejects back at the GOP.

Not me, period. I say that knowing that I may very well be in the minority with that line of thinking.

The very second RINO Romney or Rookie Saintorum get the nomination (God forbid), Obama wins the election.

I am sorry, but I don’t have it in me to yield to the GOP-e or Fox. I will not allow myself to be forced to vote for either one of those clowns. I will vote down ticket, but nothing more.

If Romney or Saintorum get the nomination (God forbid), I will not fight against them and to the delight of some, I will fall silent.

GOP perhaps; but not conservatives if it’s Romney.I think you're wrong here. The largest and most united constituency in the republican party is the ABOers.

If the GOP nominates Romney, it will lose me and many others. So, Newt may be wrong on this.

If that means the US gets another 4 years of barry, then heck, we deserve what we get.

You got that right, pal. 4 more years for Obama to solidify his socialist/progressive/fascist policies and there will be no need for any of us to pay attention to politics. The game will be over. Obama's health care takeover will be irreversible. Some sort of VAT tax will be implemented. The SC will lean decidedly left. "Freedom" will be whatever the socialists say it is. EPA running amok. More rules, regulations and laws to make us all "equal."

Yeah, you fanatics go home and sit on your hands and hand America back to Obama so he can finish his dirty work. But you will feel so good about yourself for "making a statement." Bah!

House-Senate-Presidency in 2012!

Maybe so, Newt, because of the alternative. But I’ll be damned if I know what kind of bread we’d need to make that excrement sammich palatable.

Ummmmmmmmmm...no!
I will NOT vote for Mittens under any circumstances....even if he was running against Hitler himself. I will vote down ticket or write someone in, but there no way my conscience will let me vote for a RAT parading around in a GOP uniform. At some point, we have to draw the line on these RINOs...and now is the time.

I will vote down line for Congressional candidates, but since so many of GOP Congress think they want Romney as the nominee, I’m sure they’e prepared to work with the resulting loss of the Presidency.

Romney will not win. I think the establishment GOP already knows that. RINO’s don’t mind 4 more years of Obama. They are all just like John McCain.

I think the Republican elites don’t want to win the White House this time. I think there’s more money in it for them if Obama wins.

Do you seriously believe there is an electoral solution to the communist problem is DC?

Who votes for communists?

All of the groups that didn't have the right to vote in the Republic our Founders gave us.

These groups are now enfranchised due to constitutional amendments.

This nation will fall, there is nothing that can stop it.

"Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death." James Madison

Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. John Adams: letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.:Thomas Jefferson
