Libya's leadership has apologised after armed men smashed the graves of British soldiers killed during World War Two, in acts of vandalism that appeared to be directed against non-Muslims.
Amateur video footage of the attacks, posted on video sharing site YouTube and social networking site Facebook, showed men casually kicking over headstones in a war cemetery and using sledge hammers to smash a metal and stone cross.
One man can be heard saying: "This is a grave of a Christian" as he uprooted a stone headstone from the ground.
Another voice in the footage says of the people buried in the cemetery: "These are dogs."

Some things never change.....the quote from the movie, “Patton”:
“The Carthaginians defending the city were attacked by three Roman legions. The Carthaginians were proud and brave but they couldn’t hold. They were massacred. Arab women stripped them of their tunics and their swords and lances. The soldiers lay naked in the sun. Two thousand years ago. I was here.”
You said ‘’we bomber the hell out of german and japanese graves during ww1 and ww2 nobody gave a fart’’. First of all no one ‘’bomber’’ German graves during WW! as first of all long-range strategic bombing was not yet in existence and secondly the war never reached German soil. No bomber. Japan in WW1 as that nation was not involved in the fighting so learn to spell and then learn some history. As to WW2, as I said Geramny and Japan were the belligerents and who gave a crap where the bombs landed. I sure don’t. Ironically you’re the one making a mountain out of a mole pal.
No you are, my post was an attempt to say the whole thing is irrevelant, and maybe you should read a little history. http://www.centennialofflight.gov/essay/Air_Power/WWI_Bombing/AP3.htm
Actually, Japan was involved in WW I -- on the side of the Allies, fighting against Germany.
That's how Japan came to own the Marianas, Caroline and Marshall Islands, along with Tsingtao on the Chinese mainland. All had been German colonies.
Ah, no, you need to read history. Germany was not a scene of any fighting in WW1.
Japan didn’t do any fighting on the European landmass.
Now you’re trying to back-peddle.
Didn't say they did. But your statement that "Japan wasn't involved in the fighting" in WW I is mistaken.
The link you provided say’s japan ‘’seized’’ German ports in the Far East. “Siezing’’ something is different than fighting for it. I’m not unaware of japans involvment in WW1 but the person I was posting to made the assertion that German and Japanese graves were bomber in WW1 and WW2. The former is incorrect.
No, your reading comperhension is your problem not mine.
Nope, it’s fine. You’re still back-peddling. Quit while you’re ahead.
Go read some history, I am still laughing over there was no bombs in WI. My father was there. LOL
Yeah, when I was a kid in the 50s we played cowboys and nativehyphenamericans when we weren’t playing baseball or beating up some panty waist that was going to grow up to be a liberal twit. Guess I need to find all those kids that had to play the part of nativehyphenamericans and apologize to them for shooting them with my Lone Ranger cap gun. It was tough in the 1950s desecrating nativehyphenamerican graves in retaliation for the wagon train getting burned, all the women getting raped and us getting scalped and all. Good thing we didn’t desecrate the graves of those about to be liberal twits. Perhaps another casino is in order?
What I said you dope was the fighting did not come to Germany. My grandfather served in WW1. When the fighting stopped on Nov.11th,1918 the German Army surrendered in place , in France and marched home to Germany in defeat.
We have 14 acres of flat ground with a stream running through behind our house. The problem is that I’d need hip waders, it’s so swampy!
You’re either an idiot or there’s something wrong with you .In any event don’t bother me anymore.
