Exit polls Show Putin Wins Russia's Presidential Election Amid Allegations of Violations in Election Published March 04, 2012 | March 3: Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin speaks at an award presentation ceremony for achievements in culture in Moscow. MOSCOW Exit polls cited by state television say Vladimir Putin has won Russia's presidential election, which the opposition and independent observers say has been marred by widespread violations.
Putin tallied 59 percent of Sunday's vote, according to a nationwide exit poll conducted by the VTsIOM polling agency for Channel one television.
Another exit poll done by the FOM polling agency for Rossiya TV showed Putin received 58 percent of the ballot.
Communist Party candidate Gennady Zyuganov, got support of some 18 percent, according to the survey, and the others -- nationalist Vladimir Zhirinovsky, socialist Sergei Mironov and billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov -- were in single digits.
Opposition leaders and Russian observers said Sunday they are seeing widespread violations in elections that are expected to return Vladimir Putin to the Kremlin.
If confirmed, claims of violations could undermine the legitimacy of Putin's victory and help fuel opposition protests.
The independent elections watchdog agency Golos said it was receiving reports of so-called "carousel voting," in which busloads of voters are driven around to cast ballots multiple times.
"There have been many people voting more than once, driven around in buses in large numbers" in Moscow, said Golos head Lilia Shibanova, who said similar reports had been received from Novosibirsk, Russia's third-largest city, and the city of Barnaul in southern Siberia.

Even if there were “violations”, his next closest rival is at 18% versus his 60%. That’s a pretty wide spread.

Too bad, this condemns the Russian People to at least 12 more years of ruthless plundering by their leaders. Russia has nothing like the Constitlution and Bill of Rights to hang their legal system on. So they are have nothing to appeal to in the court of law.

Actually, Putin hates the USA too. Putin also has no problem murdering people or destroying their lives. I also suspect he’d be weak-kneed if he wasn’t supported by the “former” KGB, Communist tyrannical structure that is still operational.
To: Cato in PA
Oh please. Its time for the Romney-haters to grow the hell up. You don’t like him. You wish he was more conservative. Well so do I. But to call him a “socialist” is just stupid. This attitude of “if my guy isn’t the nominee I’m going to take my ball and go home” is counterproductive and plays right into Obama’s hands. What matters is defeating Obama. Once Romney is elected, we can help steer him to the right. He will be 100,000 times better than Obama.

The Russkies don't know individual freedom and personal responsibility from Beluga caviar and tater vodka.
Even the damn Czars ran their lives before the commies took over and a short flirtation with democracy under the inebriated Yeltsin was a fluke as laughable as Ms Fluke the slut.
When freedom is an alien then order and security are all you crave and the old strong men commies and Putin provide both even if you have to ask Pootie to poot.
People say the Muslim savages of the Middle East don't know democracy from camel buggering—well the Russians are worse in that their own leaders and not the American Satan, introduced the concept to them and yet they still rejected it.

They’re not prepared.
You can tell from Robameny’s refusal to attack Obammie the Commie that he has been given the nod from the GOP with the instruction that he is not to do so.
The GOP, as most RINOs, fears bad press more than anything. The fear of being called an “-ist” by anyone paralyzes them.
That is why they continually lose political battles.

I see no reason to capitulate to the father of universal health care in America simply because he has an R in front of his name.
Since you’ve probably been spending a lot of time at Mitt Romney Central, here’s something about your golden boy that you may have missed. Willard Romney the open socialist encouraged Obongo to adopt the individual mandate on a national level:
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/292520/romney-urged-obama-adopt-individual-healthcare-mandate-andrew-c-mccarthy
His position is exactly in line with Obama’s. Since we haven’t been able to steer Obama to the right, care to explain how we’ll be able to do it with President Romney?
It’s because of party-line Republicans like you that I re-registered as an Independent. I was sick of trying to talk sense into people who couldn’t think any farther than the GOP lever. Party-line voters are either morally bankrupt, useful idiots too lazy to think for themselves, or both.
This isn’t a case of “if my guy isn’t the nominee.” I’d vote for Rick Santorum even though I think he’s a big-government conservative. Rick Perry or Herman Cain would also get my support if they were still in the race. Hell, I might even vote for Ron Paul if I was in a particularly unusual mood.
But the father of U.S. socialized medicine? Never!

Nope,, what *matters* is that Obamacare is repealed. Not “fixed”,,, repealed. If Romney does not sign in blood that he will sign a full repeal, no vote. Ending Obamacare and drilling are my two red lines. I am not yet convinced Romney agrees.
If we cannot make Romney steer to the right now when he will desperately need our vote,, why would he AFTER he has won? Our leverage will be gone.

>>>>>>>>The Russkies don’t know individual freedom and personal responsibility from Beluga caviar and tater vodka.>>>>>>>>>>>
Don’t be that ignorant.
At first it is not in a Russian tradition to brew tater alcohol. Unlike Poles, they are using cereals to make vodka.
They know individual freedom as well, thus it is flawed by lack of personal responsibility, you are right on that point.
Overall, you’ll be surprised by the level of personal freedom in Russia.
Government is absolutely absent from personal and family life. They won’t teach you how to feed or teach your children, they won’t prosecute you for risking own life if you aren’t using safety belt or swimming in a place unsafe to swim. None will teach you what is appropriate or not in your sexual life. Neither city nor neighbours are in position to prohibit you to paint a house in a manner you want or have a pool or have any kind of activity on your land as soon as it is not posing direct threat to people outside it.
To say more it is impossible to imagine any political correctness rules let alone affirmative action in Russia.
Personal issues belongs to a person, family issues belongs to a family 100%. That is universally recognized by state. For 90% people is means more freedom than everyone in the West has.
Well, for some reasons freedom has has it’s limits outside personal and family issues there.
