If you want better security:

- Buy two drives
- Encrypt them
- Swap regularly to a safe, external site (NOT the in-Laws ;)

Extra work, but you’re being proactive ... Also, a good disk imaging program is a must.

And until this thing plays out, we’re not so sure this has been, either. Wouldn’t it be comical if he made the original statement, knowing full well that he would apologize for it. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but I would be less surprised by that than by this really being a boneheaded screw up by Rush. The former fits his MO. The latter most definitely does not.

On a side note, I miss the caller abortions, but I suppose everything has to run its course...

I have been suspicious of Carbonite since I first heard their ads on right-wing talk radio. The main thing that came to my mind was—who is behind Carbonite? I could easily imagine Carbonite being a communist Democrat-run data gathering operation.

What better way to get all the information on the computers of millions of conservatives who oppose the regime than set up this type of operation and advertise profusely on conservative outlets? They probably advertise on leftist programs, too, but what the heck?

Also, ProFlowers was founded by openly homosexual Congressman Jared Polis. FYI. ProFlowers and Shari’s Berries are sister companies.

Surprised and disappointed at the apology. At the very least he should have publically said that he'll apologize when apologizes for those things and much worse said about Sarah Palin. Why couldn't he do that? This was a business decision. Plus significant pressure from the GOPe I'll bet.

Great observation. Worth more study.

(And they do obviously advertise on leftie sites like Ed Schultz who is allowed to call right-wing women “sluts” by the Carbonite Clown.)

Rush made this mistake on the air and it was newsworthy at the time.

I’ll admit to being pi$$ed at Rush on Saturday when I learned of his apology. I regrouped on Sunday, and fired off a letter of disgust to ProFlowers indicating that I will no longer purchase their product for their selective, politically correct outrage at Rush (Even after his apology!), and their decision to drop sponsorship to his show.

In fairness, I think those of us who were angry at Rush initially, have watched our “leaders” apologize time and time again. I think we’re just a little sensitive when our guys apologize when the Left NEVER does. My initial thought was: “How can Rush sit here day after day and tell us that GOP should NOT Accept the premises of the Democrats, and then turn around and apologize for his comments that were spot on?”

At any rate, I’m still a strong Rush supporter, and will be firing off a few more e-mails to the other gutless companies who’ve made the financially dumb decision to drop Rush. If they can drop Rush, WE CAN DROP THEM! ;-)

the Pubbie establishment is striking back! Even the Pub establishment uses Alinsky...isolate your enemy.. Lowery is on the same page as Kirstin Powers...disgusting.

Oh, you better believe it! Listening to Matthew Dowd on ABC Sunday morning show with George S. was eye-opening. THis Week: Transcript

..............."DOWD: Well, the first thing is I think he -- anybody should have come out with some courage of their convictions and told Rush Limbaugh he was totally wrong to do this.

I think the myth -- there's a myth around Rush Limbaugh. This idea that he influences a large number of Republican voters is a complete myth. Keep in mind, Rush Limbaugh attacked Newt Gingrich before the South Carolina Primary, and Newt Gingrich won South Carolina.

And then Rush Limbaugh attacked Mitt Romney before the Florida Primary, and Mitt Romney wins Florida. I think the problem is the Republican leaders, Mitt Romney and the other candidates, don't have the courage to say what they say in quiet, which, they think Rush Limbaugh is a buffoon.

They think Rush Limbaugh is a buffoon. They don't think he's helpful in this marketplace. They think he is like a clown coming out of a small car at a circus. It's great he is entertaining and all that. But nobody takes him seriously.

If I were Mitt Romney, I would stand up and say, we need to change the political discourse in this country. Whatever words we use on the left or the right, we need to change the political discourse. "................

I don't know if he's talked to the presidential candidates about Rush, but I'm SURE he has talked to Establishment Rep. in Congress.

After reading the article, seems it was a good time for Rush to clean out his closet of shadowy Americans who were laughing all the way to the bank on the name Limbaugh. One of the many connotations for “slut” is whore....in my view Ms. Fluke has sold her soul to Nancy Pelosi’s Progressive anti-American machine so call it like she is....looks like Carbonite is a Trojan Horse for leftist causes.

That is what the left routinely does.

And that is exactly what they have done to Rush in this case.

I never watch the Sunday shows - am always on my way to 11am Mass...
the fact that a doof like Stephie who covered up Clinton’s abuse of women can be considered a “serious journalist” is stunning to me.
But thanks for the info...doesn’t surprise.

I just called Lifelock and the rep told me they had not cancelled on Rush. I told her I was going to cancel if they had. Have they dropped Rush too?

"I hope the people who were talking about Rush throwing us under the bus feel more than a little bit cheesy after reading this."

I am one of them. I should have held my judgement and got a hold of my emotions and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I cannot wait to hear him today.

I agree. My e-mail to Carbonite this morning:

Although I enjoy your service and am pleased with how it works (I learned about Carbonite from the Rush Limbaugh program), unless you reconsider your decision to pull your ads from his program because of what he said about the 30-year-old political activist I will not renew my service and will no longer do business with you. I will advise my friends and mailing lists to do likewise. Sincerely,

"My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices."

Rereading that, it seems Rush apologized for the words, and not for the content of his comment. He also did not mention what words he was apologizing for. We're assuming it's the S & P words.

Truth is, Rush's words have power no matter how anyone would try to ignore him.

Rush is the left's worst nightmare.
