Good morning ... will we have a commercial-free Monday? Let’s hear some of our favorite parodies in their place! In place of a GM commercial, Rush could play “In a Yugo.” Shanklin could write some new ones using old favorites like “You don’t give me flowers anymore.” I am sure Rush will know how to have fun with this and also knows he has a demographic that will prove irresistible to hungry advertisers. A change will be refreshing.

Lets get to the facts that many have missed! Everything Rush said last Thursday and Friday concerning this woman is true.
She goes “shopping” at the age of 30 (not 23) for a Catholic College that does not have coverage for birth control pills.
She chooses Georgetown at the cost of $65,000 per year, but she can not afford ALL the birth control pills she needs!
She just “happens” to show up in Congress to testify about how she must have the U.S. taxpayers pay for her birth control pills.
The Socialists in Congress call her brave, wonderful, and Obama tells her her parents should be so very proud of her!
Obama’s message to parents? When looking for a college for your daughter, make sure they cover the cost of ALL the birth control pills she will need!
Yes, and I will be referring to her as Sandra Slut Fluke!
I hope he isn’t feeling low and I can’t wait to listen.
Yes, prayers up. Some people have lost everything—including their lives—in a series of terrible storms, but all the media can talk about is a whiny liberal chick’s supposed birth control needs.

If I were Rush I’d run those “obscene profit time-outs” in total silence today. Then in the last 5 seconds, a simple announcement that “your message could have been heard in this spot by xx millions of listeners, if you have the guts to tell it the way it is”.
Then jack up his ad rates by 15% and let the obscene profits flow.
Newt’s superpak should buy up all the ad time and ruin anti-Obama screeds ;-)
Don’t the lefties realize (paraphrasing from Star Wars) that if they strike Rush down now, he’ll return more powerful than they can ever imagine?
If they succeed in getting more sponsors to withdraw, and putting his radio show in jeopardy, all that will do is push Rush (finally) into satellite radio. He has always said, when asked why he isn’t on satellite radio, that terrestrial radio stations and their sponsors made him into the media star he is today, and he has stated his loyalty to them in return. Well, if radio stations begin dropping his show, because of lost ad revenue, it will be to their loss, not his.
Off to renew my lapsed Rush 24-7 subscription, order some two-if-by-tea, and email some more squisy sponsors (letting them know of my ex-customer status).

Doubt it. The waiting list of national advertisers for his show is prolly "Take a number" long. The local advertisers on the other hand, the bread and butter of the local stations that carry his show, could be a problem if a concerted effort is launched against them. IIRC, Media Matters or some such organization was calling for just this a few years ago. I Posted about it at the time on the Rush Live threads. Not sure if the effort failed or was shelved.
Wall to wall Sunday talkshow contraception for the first hour.
I think I might become a member of Rush 24/7 as a show of support. I have kicked around joining for awhile, and I think now may be the time. Anybody else?

I’m ashamed to say that I was a ProFlowers customer
I became a ProFlowers customer when I first heard your ads on Rush Limbaugh’s show a few years ago. Like the other 25+ million weekly listeners to his show, I value what he says, and what he recommends.
I don’t know how much business Rush has brought your company, but I’ll guess it’s substantial. This being the case, I was beyond disappointed that ProFlowers decided to be politically correct and drop their sponsorship to Rush’s show simply because Rush expressed a valid opinion about this fraud…Ms. Fluke.
Just as you have made a decision that will affect Mr. Limbaugh, many more of us are also making a decision that will indeed affect you. I have made my LAST purchase from ProFlowers. Please remove my name from your database and stop the solicitation emails.
I’m certainly not alone in my feelings for the politically motivated decision you have made to drop sponsorship of Rush’s show over this phony outrage by people who are neither listeners to his show or your likely customers, past or future.
You might want to take a look around the blogosphere this day; outrage at your decision will have the opposite effect you had intended. Do you really think that dropping sponsorship to Rush’s show in such a politically motivated way will not have financial consequences for your business?
Perhaps you believe that the Occupy Wall Street and MoveOn.org crowd who have astro-turfed this phony outrage are a better demographic for your product.

Hi all! I vote tomorrow! I am severely torn. As stated in previous Rush threads, I am ABR first and then ABO. In saying that, Santorum is still holding on to a bit of a lead here in Ohio, but Romney is gaining. I also see Gingrich up in a few states. Does it help or hurt Romney by Santorum winning some and Gingrich winning others or would it be better for the non-Romney sector for a coalescence around either Santorum or Gingrich to win a large chunk of tomorrow?

I just want to state my humble opinion.
I think the primary, of all times, is the time to vote your conscience. Forget strategy and vote for the person you think is best suited for the job. Sometimes, getting too caught up in strategic voting only helps those who are counting on strategic votes to win - and who have no prinicples by which they plan to lead.
