Georgia Pastors Endorse Gingrich for President

Atlanta, GA – Pastors and faith leaders from throughout Georgia — including from more than a dozen churches — announced Monday they are personally endorsing Newt Gingrich in Tuesday’s Republican primary and joining his Faith Leaders Coalition.

The pastors include Dr. Richard Lee, pastor of First Redeemer in Cumming, Dr. Michael Youssef, an Atlanta Christian author and broadcaster, and the Rev. Benny Tate of Rock Springs Methodist in Milner, Ga.

Lee, Youssef and Tate are national co-chairs of Gingrich’s Faith Leaders Coalition. They will be working with the new Georgia faith leaders on Gingrich’s advisory coalition.

“Our nation sorely needs a President who not only says he believes in God but takes faith with him to the Oval Office every day,” said Dr. Lee. “Newt Gingrich is that man. And he will be the type of President to protect our right to worship without Washington interference. Religious freedom is what makes America exceptional, and Newt will make sure that freedom remains secure.

The only claim I made is that normally such is the case, and I will stand by that: normally this is absolutely the case. That I mused it may apply to you, and that such musings struck a chord, tells us what it tells us. And FTR, you were removed by the mods on this thread on at least one, and maybe two comments for YOUR abject nastiness - a distinction I have NEVER had. Congrats.

Asking for forgiveness is one thing. I’ve asked for it a number of times in my life. But I’ve learned from the very things that led me to ask for forgiveness. Newt has not. I will flat out suggest that a number of you are hypocrites and less than consistent in your values.

Christ commanded you to forgive 70 times 7 in the new testament, intimating that you should forgive whenever someone comes for forgiveness.

God himself says that once a Man or Woman comes to him and asks for forgiveness that he throws their sins into the "Sea of his forgetfulness". In other words, he remembers it no more.

If your goal is to truly be Christian in your behavior, you can do nothing more, since you do not have the ability to look into Newt's heart and determine if he has been sincere in asking for God's forgiveness.

You might want to reflect on this for awhile.

I did not attack you, I nearly asked you a question and then I outlined the circumstances that I felt applicable to your original comment.

Where should I begin? He’s another Washington fraud, cheats on his wives, panders atrociously to whomever he needs to ($2.50 gas, Lunar Colony, etc...He can provide none of these things), he was run out of the speakership in disgrace, he’s an angry man which will hurt him in the eyes of many, oh yea and he’d never be able to beat Obama.

Read Newts’ heart, Steve...how do you know that Newt has not asked the Lord for forgiveness? I don’t know the man, nor his heart.

As a sinner, I can take his word.

You don’t know me; I hate my enemies, I will never turn the other cheek; I covet my neighbors’ race car, but I take solice in the fact that my Jeep will pull his truck outta the ditch. I take of the grape, rice, hops, barley, corn, et al, with frequency that disturbs my bride.

I don’t go to church, as Sunday is reserved for chores. My brother-in-law is a Pastor who admonishes me with regularity that the Sabbath “is what it is, keep it Holy.”. His words give me comfort, and reminds me to pray with all my heart for the Lord to forgive my DAILY failings.

I pray for all that ask, on FreeRepublic...I ain’t a hypocrite, I’m an a$$whole. Read my heart, Steve.
