It happens. Years ago my parents were helping set up for a Casino Night at Mill Brothers Monastery in St. Louis. They thought they had rounded up all five kids. The brothers called home...my brother Rick was left there. They joked he was ready for the priesthood.

I had one who would crawl into places and go to sleep. I had several horrible scares. Once she was asleep in a lump of covers on her bed. Who’d be silly enough to look there? :)

Whenever I read a story like this, I always think that these people would NEVER forget their cell phone.

Every summer, some poor baby gets left in a hot car and is baked alive. The parent, usually a clueless "mom", always says that "I forgot the baby was in the car."

But "mom" would never forget her precious cell phone.

My daughter would fall asleep in strange places when she
was little (5,6). I found her asleep on the concrete porch
of our house, on the patio of our neighbor, in the bathroom.
Once while checking on her, I went into her room as she
was slipping off the edge of her bed still sound asleep.

She survived and is 44 now. Still sleeps at lot when she
comes home to visit.

I guess you are just the perfect parent. Maybe you should get a job with Obama and Company. They love to overreact to things that happen in everyday life. They also like to bypass the Constitution.

We have 4 kids, one has been brought home by the police after escaping at the age of 3 and another was left behind at a Church gathering at 7 because we had come in two cars. Mix-ups happen. Stop being such an over reactionary.

When I was four, my parents had to call the cops when I couldn’t be found around the house.

They found me on my tricycle four blocks up the street looking at the trains.

I still do that, although not on a tricycle.

Hey Mable:
Have you seen the baby?
I seen her on TV just a minute ago while watching reruns of Hee Haw.

The preferred approach of this administration is to destroy families, eliminate children, and subsidize Volt automobiles.

Yes it is very scary to not immediately know where they are. I still get that panickey feeling if I go somewhere without the children and for one second forget that they aren’t with me and are safe at home or wherever.

As a former offender, can you offer me any advice for my daughter? The other day she was supposed to be playing in the yard and I found her knocking on the neighbor’s door. HELP!
