I can't blame Mormons for voting for Romney; he'll help the credibility of their religion tremendously if elected, and I suppose if I were a Mormon I'd consider that to be more important than his flip-flops on various political issues.

It’s a big city! Why are they so slow?? Isn’t that highly suspicious??

Well, large heavily populated counties have had their counting finished well after low population rural counties ever since, oh, I don't know, the beginning of time?

I get so tired of these elections where the crook “gets” his/her much-needed votes at the 11th hour. Oh miracle of miracles!

Destroys any hope I have that we’re still a free country.

Thanks. Looking also at which is another good source . Krauthammer said that Romney is not the front runner we envision as he's barely closing the deal in many states and a squeaker in Ohio just doesn't cut it. He said he will have to fight to the end to pull this out.

I don’t care who you support. There has to be a better way to pick a nominee than this current system.

I personally favor a natl primary. Every state. 1 day, 1 time. No early voting.

But there has to be a better way than this staggered system. Some states winner take all, some proportional, some a hybrid of the two. Some primaries, some caucuses, some beauty contest primaries. Some caucuses with bound delegates, some with unbound delegates. States vote over a 6 month period. The whole thing needs to be revamped.

The fact that Ohio was even this close is a win for him.

Fiddlesticks.
The fact that he hadn’t qualified in 9counties, means even if he won, he lost.
Now he’s in a lose-lose position.
Romney has just taken the lead in Ohio.

Mittens registered correctly in all districts. Santorum and Gingrich did not. OH is one of THOSE states. Mittens gets the delegates and loses the people on the ground.

This isn’t going to play well in Zanesville, Mittens. And Steubenville isn’t going to be any too happy with Santo, either.

Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur are having a primary battle there between two hardcore, long time Rat stars there. The Democrats must be slowing down the vote to maximize their competitive cheating. The good news is that means Rats in those precincts aren’t free to cross over and vote Mitt. Still it does look like too few Newt fans cast useful anti-Mitt votes in a state, again.

No matter what happens in Ohio, Mittens will finish with less than 40% of the vote there. That's absolutely pathetic for a so-called frontrunner.

The story of Super Tuesday is that Mitt, despite the money/media/RNC/Fox News prostitutes/endorsements couldn't - and may not ever - be able to close to sale.

Krauthammer said it best just now. Outside of his home state, Gingrich went 0 for 9 tonight.

On the other hand, the Santorum/Gingrich vote combined won five states, GA, OH, ND, TN, and OK, and would probably win Alaska as well.

Put simply, either Gingrich or Santorum need to drop out and let the conservative tide wash Romney out to sea. Otherwise, we risk getting a nominee who can’t even get 50% of the Republican vote in most states.

I was for Gingrich (reluctantly) until he bombed in Florida. Then Santorum came on hard with MO, NV and MN, and now tonight hes’ doing way better than Gingrich in every state but GA, Gingrich’s home state. I honestly don’t see how Gingrich can justify staying in this, when doing so is clearly helping Romney.

And I’d say the same about Santorum, if the tables were reversed.

Some other examples mentioned tonight, Santorum as the same delegate paperwork problem in illinois and he's not on the primary ballot in DC.

He won TN but had no slate of delegates so there are probably other problems going forward.

1day 50states. Santorum or Newt would never had a chance.

Santorum is on a Shoe string budget. Not much better state for Newt.

My money is Santorum & Newt have an agreement for a brokered convention. I think it is the best chance either of them have at denying Mitten 1144.

Sarah Palin just announced (on Fox Business channel) that she voted for Newt Gingrich!!

Yes, I just saw that! She said she voted for the cheerful one, the one who could blast through the Obama rhetoric and who had the best ideas.

Neil Cavuto was a little amazed.
