Laura Ingraham talks about Ed Schultz calling her a "right-wing slut" on talk radio and compares it to the way the media is reacting to Rush Limbaugh.
"I have an enormous amount of respect for what Barbara Walters accomplished in journalism as a woman, breaking down barriers," Laura remarked today, noting how disappointed she was that Walters seemed to side only with women of a certain political viewpoint when they are personally maligned. Moreover, Walters allowed her program "The View" to be used by the left to sell the "phony narrative" of the "GOP war on women" by sympathetically showcasing contraceptive activist Sandra Fluke. In May of 2011, the hosts of The View, including Walters herself laughed off the "slut" issue when liberal radio host Ed Schultz used the term to describe Laura. The View creator and host pretended to cry, adding that Joy Behar routinely called her a slut. A double standard? Of course," Ingraham said on her radio show today.
