“We Republicans”; hopefully “we conservative Republicans,” although, it being Maine, the GOP nominee may not be quite as conservative as I’d like (but I’d take the vote to repeal Obamacare, lower taxes, etc.).

One thing that I’m pretty sure of is that the GOP Senate nominee in ME will *not* be an Olympia Snowe clone.

You’d have to ask ME FReepers, but from what I’ve read and heard so far D’Amboise is conservative and Summers, Schneider, Plowman and Poliquin are, at the very least, far less liberal than Snowe. Plowman, being a lady state senator, seems like the likeliest candidate for the most liberal of the bunch, but she voted against same-sex marriage and voted to amend some transgender law so that facilities that are designed for a particular sex (think bathrooms) may be limited to such sex, which I doubt Snowe would have done.

Since Maine has had a series of Anus U.S. Senators, maybe inserting the “g” in the middle will change things.

I was hoping that - BUT he just endorsed Obama -- so much for that

Not if the Dem nominee is Pingree or Baldacci.

Baldacci just pulled out - that is a plus.

However, he likely pulled out because his party willo back KING - who has a beter chance of winning - AND, king just endorsed obama -

So it's all downhill from there

An an odd position we find our self in, not happy that a prominent rat isn’t running.

So King is the defacto rat. We need the regular rat to take at least 20% from him.

Don’t forget Maine went totally Republican in 2010 — governor and legislature. Anything is possible.
